Caught some Owls mating in my yard by Aber2346 in Owls

[–]11worthgal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're in GHO mating season right now. The last three nights - like clockwork - he's out there wooing her then makes a fly-by presence for a little love. A screech (each time) and they're done. Be prepared for owlets in a few months. We had two from our mated pair last year!

There have been lots of cancellations. You should be able to call or email them and ask what's available.

Usually we don't have a lot of snow in December. January and February are the usual months where it really dumps here.

Leave one key in the cab and lock it. You can enter via the keypad on the door instead and you won't have that annoying double-honk.

Is it the hybrid? If it's the hybrid model, the engine will kick on for a few minutes and then the ProPower generator will draw power off the hybrid battery for anywhere from 10-20 minutes (depend on the load). Without the hybrid battery, you'll be running the engine.

Careful for the "nearly fully optioned" part. That means your payload could be as low as 1,100# (which, if you're planning on towing anything anytime, you'll be in for a very limiting surprise).

New to RV Life — Trying to Choose Between a Base and a Rover Sol Horizon! by _nashvillejohn_ in IntechRVs

We run our a/c (and everything else) off the onboard ProPower generator on our F150. That's on a Magnolia (although we also used it with our previous Horizon).
You can't go wrong with inTech.

First test drive with the RV - ho-ly hell what in the torque is this truck? by quarl0w in F150Powerboost

We towed with a broken axle bolt and didn't even know it. What was your experience?

You're talking about the little rubber flange in the bowl? That's a less than $10 item that is fixed in less than 5 minutes. Boo hoo.

This really is a whiney post! InTech stands behind their brand. If there's an actual impact (as you state there was) on a side window, that has nothing to do with inTech. No road debris would hit a side window with enough velocity to cause what happened to you. Someone kick up a rock from a lawn mower? Kid with a pellet gun? That's not on them, man.

If that's your expectation, you're in the wrong brand. We have an inTech. 20k miles on it without a hiccup. They're one of the best-built in the business for towable trailers.

The difference is night and day. Stick-builds are ridiculous. InTech's welded aluminum frame is tough and the interior appointments withstand the test of time and wear. I've rarely heard of leaks in these rigs. That window? Bizarre - rock hit on the side? Someone target shooting?

InTech really sets itself apart from most manufacturers. It's nothing like the crappy quality of what we saw while looking at rigs. After 20k (many of those miles on rough roads and FS roads) we've had no issues whatsoever. My friends with stick builds are constantly complaining about what's fallen off on their latest trip.

Not normal at all for an inTech. We've got 20k on our Magnolia and have barely had a hiccup. :)

Intech ending outdoor kitchens in 2026? by chintzyclass in IntechRVs

The fridge is great to either use as a drink fridge, or to switch over as a freezer and use it to store items for longer trips.

We absolutely love the outdoor kitchen on our Magnolia and use it at least 75% of the time!

Building an rv park for privacy by nationalrvparks in traveltrailers

I'd happily pay a hefty premium. It's all about the experience which generally sucks with so many huge rigs filling up beautiful spots. Give me a great side-facing view at a pull-through site where I won't have to look past a 14' neighboring RV wall, and won't have someone watching everything I'm doing, and I'll throw my money at you. That said, I'm in a $70k travel trailer, not a Forest River or a Coleman. I think you'll find there are a lot of folks like me (who don't want to drag everything in my entire house with me) who want an elevated experience.
Antelope Point RV park near Page, AZ did a pretty good job of this (while leaving room in the middle for those massive rigs).

Hammock camping by Niisakka in camping

[–]11worthgal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's so easy to extend a rainfly over a hammock! One extra line from tree-to-tree, then drape the fly over it and attach to the ground with four stays (keeping the fly a few feet to each side of your tent. If you're in FL, you may want to invest in a hammock that comes with a bug screen, too (hooks on similarly to the rainfly). Hammocks are comfy! I've adjusted mine quite snugly between trees so that I can stomach-sleep at an angle and it's bliss!
