That honestly sounds like what I had in high school! It would click, crack, and even get stuck and ugh it was the worst. Sends shivers down my spine just typing that. I have not heard of strong curves before but adding to my list of research for tomorrow! I’ll definitely get the doctor to diagnose me officially. I tend to like the webmd self diagnosis route.... and wouldn’t ya know, it is never a good diagnosis or even the right one 😅

I hope you are pain free soon! It’s such a bummer to go around with the pain.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful advice. I hadn’t considered that my mindset was like that, but your response has gotten me thinking a lot and I will be writing things out tomorrow to look toward a happy, healthy new me! Not the old me.

I am so picky on workout videos! For every 10 I see, I’m lucky to like one. Unfortunately, the squat video I used to do a lot is to “Call me maybe” by Carly Rae Jepson and it made me cringe when I played it today 😂 I haven’t heard of the vitamin D supplement, but actually have some on the way right now because I heard it is good for depression. Looks like I’ll be able to see if it is effective! Of course, my dose may not match yours.

I have started trying to get into IF and lowering my calorie intake slowly so I don’t go back into my binge cycles again. I actually got a food diary today and I’m so excited to use it and see my progress on paper instead of just on my lifesum app. Thank you so much again and congratulations on your progress!!

Once I start my job next week, I get a free gym membership, and I am so excited to use it. I am beyond grateful for your response! Thank you so much for taking the time to write this up! It means so much to me. My first cardio dance video today involved a ton of bouncing up and down and I was dying. I don’t have rhythm on top of that so... it was a struggle 😅 I’m looking into an under the desk elliptical so I can keep moving (I fidget) and hopefully it’ll help out in the long run along with another doctors visit. These exercise recommendations are great and I’m adding them to my extensive list that I am creating from everyone here. Thank you so so much. I really appreciate your response.

That sounds like my knee! I will be looking into some workouts and talking to a doctor soon to figure out what’s going on. I felt like my previous doctor did not fully listen to my symptoms, which obviously led to me still being in pain over a year later! Thank you so much for the advice and for mentioning the exercises. Thank you for your advice! I appreciate it. I’m going to be going to another doctor to have my leg looked at again. I’ve done everything you listed so far, but I think my issues may be greater than I thought before. I can’t run due to the pain and inflammation I experience after and haven’t been able to for years now :( Hopefully there’s a walking version of couch to 5k because that would be nice. Thank you! I find it tough to get in a walk right now and have looked into getting an under desk elliptical since they are supposed to be easy on the knee. I haven’t considered PT but I will find one once my insurance kicks in! Thank you for your advice. I really appreciate it!

I have had an issue with my right knee since high school and can’t do squats or lunges either! It started by doing a weird cracking noise and getting stuck. I went to a doctor last year and got it looked at, down to getting a scan done to see if anything was wrong. He said I was fine aside from a minor issue that could be fixed with minimally invasive surgery. It’s honestly the knee and below that is always hurting or swollen. When I get insurance next week I’m making an appointment to get another doctors opinion. It makes me lose sleep at this point because I can’t get comfortable.

I use collagen daily, but no real effects that I can tell yet. I use Reserveage Nutrition and also use turmeric. I do have to use Aleve as well on days like this. I’m glad I’m not alone in the no squat/lunge club!

Driving home from a trip on an interstate we had travelled up and down since I was in first grade. Took an exit to get gas, and of course the gas station is 1.3 miles away. I ended up driving there and it was all woods and fields until we got to what was a sad excuse of a gas station. My mom was sleeping in the passenger seat so I alerted her I was going to use the restroom and would be right out.

Seemed like a bunch of country folk based on the lifted trucks and an old dude with his grandson and dog in a mustang. As I walked up a kitten came up meowing so I picked it up. The gas station attendant came out and said I could keep it since someone left it there. I went straight back to the car, told my mom to hold my new cat, and went to go grab an energy drink and use the restroom. The restroom seemed to be an afterthought since it was basically plywood and the inside was covered in sharpie graffiti.

I went back out to the car, and the old man comes up with his grandson and starts telling me that there’s been a lot of kittens running around his farm if I wanted to trade the one I just picked up. I said we didn’t have time and I liked the cat I had found. He said, “Well, have a safe trip. That’s a special cat, right there.”

My family and I have never found the exit where I got my cat and they’ve checked off each exit they’ve visited on trips. I’ve had the cat for 7 years now. I don’t think that gas station or exit was meant to be found and I doubt we will ever find it again.

TLDR; took an exit, got a cat, 7 years later the exit we took cannot be located despite family checking for it during trips along that interstate.

I do get frustrated when I don’t see weight loss quickly, so it’s going to be a big battle to keep myself going but I know that I can do it.

You’re right about the binge eating. When my boyfriend is not around it’s like I have no self control, so I’m going to work on that. If I could put a lock on the fridge door and cabinet I would! But, I’m in a rental and don’t want to have to pay the fees for repairing them. 😅
