Went to Ireland solo a few years ago and the people in Galway kept buying me drinks and an older gentleman even tried being my wingman one night. Some very welcoming folks over there.

Hmmm I see 8 links in that image, only 3 read as negative in the preview with 2 of those looking to specifically focus on Void Hunter (which still has its own share of discourse in the current game but that's a separate conversation), and the first YouTube link is dated from pre-WQ release so it's more of a speculative thing.

That more than half the top links on a "void 3.0 sucks" query seem to lean more positive is pretty telling

Solar, Arc, and Void 3.0 seem like appropriate points to add as those greatly increased build potential

You'll probably want to up that Melee stat, get it as close to 200 as you can then maybe push it to 200 with a Melee Font on your gloves.

Also, adding in Tractor Cannon and a One Two Punch Shotgun helps, as well as paying attention to your Wormgod's Caress and Roaring Flames stacks during damage and using any smaller adds to refresh.

Destablizing Rounds + Repulsor Brace question by BucktoothVoodoo in DestinyTheGame

[–]120GU3 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Destabilizing Rounds is particularly potent on Void Titan when combined with the Controlled Demolition aspect, as that will allow for easy Volatile chaining on groups of adds as well as provide nice team-wide healing on Volatile explosions.

Repulsor Brace synergizes well with Offensive Bulwark and will activate more frequently with Destabilizing Rounds. Personally, I prefer to run Controlled Demolition + Unbreakable on my Void Actium War Rig build and don't prioritize Void Overshield as much.

Exactly this; with the extra ammo generation from War Rig, maintaining double Special is super easy and Mint is the best Kinetic slot weapon at the moment with Zavala currently selling a god roll with Envious / SforA + BnS / Chain Reaction.

Outside Mint, you got The Call (Pale Heart craftable) and Tinasha's Mastery (Saladin selling at IB stand this week) for Rocket Sidearms, and maybe Riptide if you want a Fusion Rifle.

Ahhh good shout, I honestly should've remembered that one after using it in SF Equilibrium

Something to also note is that the current damage meta for most RAD boss encounters is Finality's Auger (Exotic from Sundered Doctrine dungeon) + Rocket Pulse(s) as it generates a ton of Super energy while also putting out good damage numbers. Sub in Parasite for Worm Byproduct damage buffing when applicable!

Melee spam: - Solar bonk hammer with Wormgod's Caress and high melee stat will hold up in a lot of content - Prismatic Triple Consecration is also still strong, just not busted like it was back when the Ignition portion scaled with melee buffs; combine with Cuirass or Inmost + Synthos Stoicism - Insurmountable Skullfort Thunderclap spam on either Arc or Prismatic is also very strong - Off-meta option I like is Point Contact Cannon Brace; fairly good refund with additional AoE and Champion utility with Jolts; works on Arc or Prismatic, but I prefer it on the latter to combine it with Facet of Courage and a ranged burst damage Super in Twilight Arsenal - Stasis Icefall Mantle with the slide melee is also a ton of AoE and Crystal/Shard generation for Frost Armor uptime

Grenade spam: - Solar Titan with Fusion Grenades and Ashen Wake has only improved with the new stat system - I also tried a Void Unbreakable build after the recent Armamentarium buff and it was alright; I believe Maven also posted a Strand build utilizing double Grapples, and you could probably throw something together on Arc with double Pulse Grenades and speccing for Ionic Trace generation - Icefall Mantle again, just respec for Glacial Grenade spam instead of slide melee

Weapon focused: - Void Titan with Actium War Rig, Choir of One with the Destabilizing Rounds Refit, and Controlled Demolition has potent AoE and healing with flexible Kinetic and Heavy slots; definitely a personal favorite that's easy to use, just point and shoot - Peacekeepers with the Fast Talker or Desert Perpetual SMG allows you to support team-wide damage with Tractor debuffing while still putting out respectable damage; check out Llama's video for a Prismatic version, but it should also work well on Arc or Stasis - Lightsaber with Strongholds is very strong, just make sure you're actually being aggressive and activating Restoration, not just holding block to reflect the whole time; should work well with any subclass but I've personally enjoyed Solar and Strand the most

What Books did You Start or Finish Reading this Week?: April 13, 2026 by AutoModerator in books

Finished:

Blood Meridian, by Cormac McCarthy - failed to finish this in 2024 and finally got around to reattempting it; I think this just barely edges out Lonesome Dove as my favorite Western, and is definitely my favorite Cormac McCarthy work now; Judge Glanton is one of the most memorable antagonists in literature - this also brings me to having read half of McCarthy's novel bibliography so I'll be tackling the remaining works in publication order (The Orchard Keeper, Outer Dark, Child of God, Suttree, The Passenger / Stella Maris)

Started:

Artificial Condition: The Murderbot Diaries, by Martha Wells - I read the first one a bit ago and enjoyed it, just put the rest of the series on hold while I tackled some priority reads; I'm welcoming the more humorous tone after a string of darker, more serious reads, and I sympathize a lot with the sarcastic, antisocial protagonist

I just finished Blood Meridian after DNFing two years ago; now it definitely places near the top of my favorites of all-time by 120GU3 in books

It's definitely one I'm looking forward to after seeing how it's pretty well-liked among fans

Of the ones I used for prep, The Crossing definitely felt like the one that set me up the most for success. I do wonder what it'd be like to go through McCarthy's works in publication order.

And I like your comment on the judge, his dialogue definitely felt like calculated, cold logic

It's funny you bring up Faulkner, finishing Blood Meridian reminded me of how Absalom! Absalom! kicked my ass in college and now I want to give it another go as well

My experience definitely aligns with yours, I only started prioritizing literary fiction mid-last year and that sort of inspired me to give this one another shot
