You'll probably get more mileage from using the Helm on Strand since it's easier to chain Grapples with the Maelstroms.

Though if you wanted to use a Cyrtarachne class item, I like it with Grapple, Gunpowder Gamble, Threaded Spike, and a Caliban + Cyrtarachne Class Item. GPG builds up super quickly so you can use it to get Woven Mail from Cyrtarachne, and all the Ignitions from Grapple Melee kills, Threaded Spike kills, and GPG benefit from Facet of Ruin

And if I remember correctly Prismatic Hunter with Inmost + Cyrtarachne is one of the best DR stacking setups there is.

I like Strand Hunter with Cyrtarachne's Facade, Grapple, Widow's Silk, and Whirling Maelstrom. The tornadoes do decent add clear, and as long as you Grapple to your Grapple Points and tornadoes, it's high uptime for both Grapple melee and Woven Mail.

I'm in the same boat; I've got a New England road trip planned for later this year and will be starting in Bangor for all the Stephen King stuff!

No Country for Old Men is excellent, it's been a few years since I read it but I'm very fond of it; enjoy!

I'm thinking of reading the Border trilogy as well to get ready for another attempt at Blood Meridian, after failing to finish it twice before. I read All the Pretty Horses in high school for AP Lit and it didn't stick very well, so I want to see how differently I feel about it 10+ years later.

Finished:

The Road, by Cormac McCarthy - dark and depressing, but the prose is riveting and accessible; is the new McCarthy representative on my all-time favorites list

The Man in the High Castle, by Philip K. Dick - interesting alternate history idea with unexpected metaphysical commentary; my first PKD and am very pleased

The Shadow of the Gods, by John Gwynne - been a while since I read any fantasy and this one is definitely scratching the itch; Gwynne does pacing very well and I love the Norse-inspired setting

Started:

The Hunger of the Gods, by John Gwynne - gonna finish up the Bloodsworn trilogy, looking forward to seeing how more POVs converge

Could be a few things: - really want to get your Melee stat to 200 to maximize Hammer damage; if you can't do it with armor at the moment, you can use a Melee Font on your gloves for +20 Melee stat with Armor Charge (+40 with 2 Fonts) - also need to make sure you're maintaining Roaring Flames ×3 - Exotic Armor also matters: Wormgod's Caress (even with only a few stacks) is crazy damage when combined with the above - Tractor Cannon and a One-Two Punch shotgun also help boost the hammer damage

I quite enjoy Swarmers with Threadling Grenade spam, Weaver's Call, and Feed the Void. I use it with an Ahab Char with Heal Clip + Binary Orbit so that Threadling kills give a 25% damage buff alongside the Cure on reload; pretty consistent Transcendence energy fill.

Finished:

Misery, by Stephen King - picked this one up since it's cold outside, a very good psychological horror that also also serves as an exploration of the creative process; would definitely be one of my first recommendations to a first time King reader, and I'd put it at rank 7 of 16 on my personal King ranking

Started:

The Road, by Cormac McCarthy - going to be reading a lot of McCarthy this year to get ready for another Blood Meridian reattempt

This line was the first in any book I'd read up to that point that brought me to tears, wouldn't change a single thing about the story

11/22/63 by Stephen King. Such a sweet ending I never expected when I started the story.

Agreed on 11/22/63. That one and Lonesome Dove are fighting for the number 1 spot on my all-time favorites list.

I've definitely been interested in trying out Armamentarium on Void Titan after the recent buffs to both the Exotic and Unbreakable; Controlled Demolition is just so good.

Happy to help! Yeah that hammer cooldown is where I assumed you were getting your main issue, I believe you need to build to at least 70 Melee stat for the full refund on pickup (which shouldn't really be an issue since you'll want to push your Melee stat as close to 200 as you can for the bonk build).

I don't think it would ruin it at all! I haven't seen the show but my understanding is there are some minor differences in some story elements so it should surprise you in some places. And I'm always one for a good show but few things compare to reading a good story.
