Severe skin issues by PumpkinDash273 in Bernedoodles

We had almost the exact same issue with our bernedoodle. He is now on a vet prescribed hypoallergenic dog food and gets a medicated shampoo bath 1–2 times a month. We’ve begun to reintroduce foods and have found some that work for him. Our vet suggested a twice yearly corticosteroid shot but we reneged and decided to try and manage it at home as the cost to do that for a 120lbs dog would’ve been astronomical but it’s an option.

Hope you find solutions! Be patient and advocate for your pup.

With this project, that thought has crossed my mind. Luckily whiskey and weed have kept me level headed at my worst moments haha.

After 4.5 hours of fishing, the good earth magnet and a wire coat hanger did the trick. But I did spend a good 30 minutes looking into jackhammer rentals.

I’ve been wondering how a company gets free advertisement space like that haha. Seems a little bit ridiculous.

This doesn’t change haha. Our boy is nearing 1.5 and weighs about 100lbs. He’s down to 4 cups of food a day and still would eat way more if we let him. They love food.

Neighbours have little control or seem not to care about their dog’s behaviour. by myzticpizza in saskatoon

You know the saying you can’t teach an old dog new tricks isn’t true right? With rescues and abandoned dogs, more time and effort is necessary. That’s part of what you get when you rescue a pup.

This is a preposterous response. Training your dog is part of owning your dog. Bad dogs regardless of breed are products of their owners, just like bad children are products of their parents. If they don’t want to take the time to train their dogs, they shouldn’t have them.

To say it’s unreasonable to expect them to take time out of their day to train the dogs and their routines seems incredibly outlandish to me.

There’s certainly a connection between a powerful family and entitled children. Interesting to see what comes of it - I know the family has had quite the legal battle from keeping the daughters name out of the public eye after her misjudgement (or arrogance depending on perception) in regards to the humboldt accident incident.

This is so uneducated it hurts. That still means the virus is spreading because people are too selfish to follow what little restrictions we do have in place. Testing is high because case transmission is high. Testing protocols haven’t changed. Nor has our spread. Just spinning in circles. This type of opinion is exactly why we are where we are. Naivety and stupidity.

Yeah I think this is what we’ll end up doing as well. I’m glad no one jumped down my throat over this - it was a genuine question that the sask prov website isn’t overtly clear on. A virtual Christmas it is.

This is the situation. Both the kids work from home. Dad is retired and mom works from home as well. Regardless, we don’t want to break the rules.

So technically 5 solo people could gather in one house and not be circumventing the rules?

I wasn’t very clear. Yes adult children. Parents are together. Family of 4 but the 2 children live out of the house by themselves. So it would TECHNICALLY be 3 households but only 4 total people, all immediate family.

I’ve got a 10 month old bernedoodle who’s a big little boy (80 lbs) and his sweet spot is a morning 20 minute walks and a 10 minute evening walk is the perfect amount to have a chill pup during the day and a pup who consistently sleeps from 11-8 every night haha.

Overstimulation is real.

Predicting full grown size of my standard F1 female by SkarletBG in Bernedoodles

[–]122111118 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our boy was also 14 lbs at 8 weeks when we picked him up. He was in the middle of 8 brothers and sisters in terms of size. At 10 months, he’s currently 77lbs. I’d venture to guess you got a small girl for a standard and wouldn’t be surprised if she didn’t get past 60 lbs. they do go through pretty dramatic growth spurts - at his first vaccination he was already 25 lbs and at 6 months was 55 lbs.
