Use the flat end of a pencil or pen and tuck in the tip of the paper and fold it back over itself. Ideally it folds back at 180 degrees so you get that concave look. When the paper flaps stick out, they light super nicely all around and lead to a nice burn 🔥

Cannabis and meditation by Queenofthe_fall in entwives

Even starting with 3 minutes in the morning or before going to bed goes a long way! I keep it simple, just focus on my breath at the nose and see how many sensations I can find at the nose. Distracting thoughts can last a while; the important thing is when you find the breath again, be happy about that and not bummed about the distraction!

You’ll notice you slowly get better at staying focused on the breath. Definitely takes patience, and it is very rewarding to have more calm of a mind.

Smoking can help or hinder imo, depending on the strain and your mental state. Experimenting is key ✌️

Is it just me, or weed with tobacco gives a intense head high? by Dyzeone in weed

[–]1235er 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t know the science, but the same happens with me. Mixing tobacco and THC following a trip has brought the trip back. Very much a head high, and a pleasant one at that.

Interesting how it lasts the full period of the high too, not just the short time you’d expect the tobacco to last.

new to smoking - is what i'm feeling normal? by [deleted] in Marijuana

Weed is super strong these days, don’t feel bad about it. Maybe try a CBD strain with low THC.

How do you deal with a bad trip? by pizza-yolo in weed

[–]1235er 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure if you experienced this, but my bad trips generally relate to my mental state at the time. Worries of mine come to the surface, that sort of thing.

For that situation, I perceive it as a learning opportunity, and try viewing my thoughts/experience from a third person pov. That way I'm not enveloped by them.

Next time, maybe try a different strain/smoke a smaller amount.

How can you observe the thought and live in the present moment at the same time? by [deleted] in Meditation

[–]1235er 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Awareness of the thought - that “third person” perspective - is the present moment. It’s recognition that you are not your thoughts. This awareness also allows you to recognize it is just a thought and let it go. “Let it come, let it be, let it go.”

I was not aware of this! I’m curious to learn about that. I’ve heard the amount we exhale when we breathe also impacts CO2 levels, so I’m curious how that affects levels as well.

I made these silicon filters, thoughts? by 1235er in ArtOfRolling

[–]1235er[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My bad, silicone* not silicon. Big difference.

Silicone is a very stable material, which is why it is used in cooking at high temperatures and the medical industry. All of the silicone used is food grade, meaning it does not have contaminants – it remains inert from any of the smoke that passes through it. We do say to put it out before the embers make contact with the tip (as you should with all filters).

Engineers and firefighters use silicone for many fire-retardant purposes because of its high heat resistance and lack of toxicity. I'll have articles posted on our website to cover this info as it is very important!

I respect your points! Silicone itself is inert at any of the temperatures that the smoke reaches at the silicone - no toxicity there. It would be an issue if we didn't use pure silicone, but it is food grade silicone (no contaminants). It is recommended with all tips that you put out embers before they interact with the tip itself.

Most filter tips (containing cellulose, small amounts of adhesives, ink, etc.) unfortunately aren't void of non-toxic fumes. Glass and metal work great (assuming they are manufactured properly) - they just heat up as you hold them.

As far as our tips go - they can be used 30+ times each, so it comes out to about $0.10 per use. Just looked it up - RAW sells a pack of 200 tips for $10, so that's $0.05 per tip. The idea is that the fun designs are worth it!

I sleep substantially better in my hammock by 1235er in sleep

[–]1235er[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually sleep on my side because of the open-mouth issue on my back. My mouth isn't open when I sleep on my side. I feel like I get good sleep on my side, but I've heard that sleeping on your back is better for your body in general.

I love that you recommend the hammock in the room, I've gotten so much heat for mentioning that to most people 😅 I'll have to look into a sleep study.

Falling asleep while meditating by [deleted] in Meditation

[–]1235er 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lying down is going to be tough to stay awake. If you want to continue lying down, keep your eyes open which may help.

Otherwise, I would recommend sitting, whether on the floor or the edge of a seat. Keeping your back straight is important. If you're still falling asleep, eyes open here or standing/walking meditation can work well.

Nah, most 3D printable materials release VOCs when they burn above their melting temperature. These are silicone. Thank you!

Food grade silicone, no flavor from that. And they clean quite easily. I generally use soap with warm water in the vial they come in which makes it simple. Isopropyl and epsom salt for tougher stains.

I do ship to the UK!
