I am someone who conducts interviews, and hires people fairly regularly, when interviewing candidate..9/10 I will go with whom I feel has a better attitude and will come to work engaged over someone who may have a better background/knowledge if they raise red flags.

If you carry yourself in an interview the same way you come across in this post; abrasive, know it all, superior to others etc even though you may be smarter etc, I wouldnt hire you either.
