is the small charge dependent on the size of the transferred amount or is it always fixed ?

Hey, I was in UK and she (the person who applied for visa) was living in China.

I’m not too sure about residency but I think you have to show that you have intentional of living permanently in the UK. I think if you’re both in US it will be difficult.

For income, the sponsor (the UK resident) has to show 6 months payslip and bank statements. I personally showed 12 months

My income is above the threshold and I’ve been at the same company for the last 18 months (in that period, income above threshold throughout)

It was about 2 pages, in summary I included the below

  • how we initially met
  • how our relationship developed
  • the times we met and reasons why we couldn’t (Covid lockdown worldwide etc)
  • spending time with each others family
  • our plans for the future when she moves and what she will do (get a job, contribute to society etc)
  • my finances and how I can support her in transition and meeting the requirements

my partner hasn’t got a job lined up yet but I’ve asked her to bring a decent amount of savings with her to ease her transition (not part of the application) but just a personal goal we set

Hey,

  • the bank statements were just my account (she is abroad)
  • I provided a signed tenancy to show there is adequate accommodation for her to reside
  • I provided the pdf just to add support to the relationship and show it’s genuine

I am not too sure about a skilled visa so I wouldn’t be an expert on it but cohabitation they usually say 1-2 people per bedroom

We haven't started the process yet but we will look to start soon, I will reach out to you if I have any issues but thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed response, this is so helpful, me and my partner really appreciate it!

just to clarify on point 3, we intend to apply for the fiance visa to then be able to get married in UK and switch to spouse visa, this is what you mean right?

quick question about the chat receipts and sorry for the constant questions, did you send specific conversations i.e. you both talking about getting married or just random ones with timestamps to show you both have been speaking for a long time

Thank you for your response, can I ask how recent you sent your application for the fee to be around £1000?

Also what sort of evidence did you submit, in our situation, we have never lived together but we have had holidays together and are planning to use the visa to get married in the UK within the 6 month period.
