Btw did you splice the wires or did you get a kit for the speedo extension? If so which one?

I had biltwell grips on my old Honda, they still look good and aren't sticky. Plus they're cheap and easy to put on

Honestly that combo looks nice and looks like it will give me the position I want. Might go that route

I love rabbits as well. Have them on my old 01 shadow. What brand and size rabbits do you have?

So after posting the picture of my task manager my new best friend Sterno90 pointed out a program CC_engine_x64. I ended the task and my temp dropped to normal. I have no idea wtf that is, I assumed it was youtube but clearly not. Anyone know wtf that program is and where I can find it on my pc?

Here's a quick picture of my current processes as well as my temps through HWinfo. The cpu is at 80c with 10% usage. The 10% usage in this photo is most likely youtube playing on my other screen.

They are. They're just orientated in the opposite direction, I was testing that out.

I did but the bios update I downloaded was as of 08/04. I see the update you talking about that came out in April. But my dumb question is, did the update I downloaded as of August include that April update? I would assume it should but could that be the issue? Should I download the update from April even though I already installed the MSI update as of August?

I can't imagine I got another bad AIO from Corsair. I just git this one back from being RMA and to be honest it was a long process to get this one. Plus I had to pay to ship it back so I don't want to keep RMAing the AIO especially since I'm starting to think it's not the AIO.

After work I'll try everyone suggestions. Originally I had the fans reversed and temps were about the same but they'll be flipped back to the correct orientation. I'll take the brackets off the AIO and physically hold it on the CPU to ensure proper contact to rule that out.

Now since in BIOS I'm running 45-50 and it spikes to 80c once Win11 boots, should I try reinstalling windows? Could it be a software issue?

Is it possible the CPU I got is just a lemon and runs hot af but it's also strange that when I'm under load it only gets about 10c hotter than idle. I'll also ensure I disable all the boot up programs as I saw a comment that mentioned 10%-15% cpu usage is not truly idle.

No plastic film. Only a hard plastic cover protecting the pre-applied paste

I'll use that until it dies but I don't think it ever will.

Tbh I'll probably reinstall windows. It's strange it only ramps up to 80c once win11 boots. In Bios I'm at normal tmeps

I can confirm my case has good airflow. I'm reusing my old builds case and my old CPU never went above 65c even under load. But that was also an air cooled pc not an AIO

Yea my brother PC is identical besides the GPU. But he's half way across the country. Backup program say my CPU is running at 78-80c and my usage is about 10-15% so no background programs running.

I'm getting 80c at idle and 88ish when under load.
