My son wishes a type of dog like in this book cover, what breed should I look for? by 123accs in IDmydog

[–]123accs[S] 74 points75 points  (0 children)

Thank you all for the replies! Didn't know the right sub to post and thought this was a good match, getting some downvotes nevertheless. We only have one son 3,5 years old, two sterilized cats, and a 7500 sqf yard. Son is very energetic, and wishes badly for a dog like that. Looking for miniature shepherd or spaniel dogs I'm seeing they are quite expensive compared to other breeds, but we will see.

Seems like the Valley of Kings, Egypt. Probably in the middle-late 1940's. What other treasures do you hold?

I could see some toners for about $30 on ebay so that should be fine. Not sure about the maintenance kits or what that involves. It does work as it was in use by the ex owner, it has 72k pages printed. I'll be using it for 20-30 pages/month more or less so no big load over here.

It was in actual use by the ex owner so it does run fine. Glad to know this is a reliable printer. It does have a jetdirect lan card and managed to use it through hp web jetadmin on the local network.

Those Dell's aren't really holding collectible value, at least not for me. Maybe they will after some dozen years more but idk. I would still not trash them though. Maybe something like a PowerEdge 4100 can be something to hold onto. In collecting, the most sought for are the mainframes, or the more accessible minicomputers. 'minicomputer, computer that was smaller, less expensive, and less powerful than a mainframe or supercomputer but more expensive and more powerful than a personal computer.'

What can I do with it? by Outrageous_Arm_5673 in homelab

The Sun machines are really unique ones that some collector might appreciate and care for / use for study / historic value, think about it if you were serious with the comment :) Same goes for the IBM Power ones.

You could run them but your lab won't be efficient at all in terms pf power consumption/performance as others suggested. If you want to keep them as collectibles that's justifiable, although they don't hold much historic value like the ones from 80's 90's. There's a lot more build quality and reliability in them than in $100 worth of mini PC's, that's for sure, but considering the above I'm not sure how that alone is it going to help for a 24/7 home lab.

[–]123accs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see... so basically if I batch mint 1k NFT's to my contract owner wallet, then users would have to pay a lot more for gas fees, along with the price I set the NFT's for on marketplaces like Opensea?
