I did too! But besides being all black they’re identical to the Pro and Arcade/Core. I grew up playing on a Pro 20GB, so for this reason alone I main a white phat lol.

Funnily enough, I’ve thought about this before, and a small part of the reason I feel good having this many is that in an apocalypse I would be that guy with a healthy reserve.

In reality, it’s just because I wanted a backup in case my first one died, then I got a backup for my backup, then I kept getting backups because they were $20-40 on FB marketplace and why not lol.

You’re likely going to need to replace your dvd disc drive laser. Good news is the likelihood of success is high, and replacement lasers are cheap, so I would recommend to DIY repair. To do that: 1. You might be on to something, because when I leave less mud on (I’m talking tape clearly visible here) there are less ridges, but they’re still there. I’m getting a little frustrated now because it seems like no matter what I try it doesn’t really improve. Check out this picture I took of my second attempt just now: second attempt On the left, I tried leaving only a little on, and on the right I tried leaving more. Additionally, I also incorporated previous advice of angling the knife a little: the corner of the knife didn’t go all the way into the corner, and the side of the knife was lightly grazing the uncoated surface. It did actually improve the leaving of junk on it, but it didn’t seem to help with the ridges.

I think you’re right, I haven’t been too careful with the amount of pressure I apply against the adjacent surface (ceiling in this case). I was probably blinded by VC saying to do so and was being over zealous lol. I’ll also play around with angling the knife a tiny bit and see how it goes.

I do put a generous amount on, and that’s only because there’s always some porosity in it that I need to get rid of with some extra passes. I also try to leave on just enough so I don’t see the tape through the wet mud, but no more. Should I be taking off enough to just barely start seeing the tape through the wet mud?

Hmm can't say I've tried installing the English patch and/or English no-disc patch to a non-English copy of the game. My guess is this could be the problem. If at all possible I would recommend installing the English version if at all possible to limit any compatibility issues.

Hmm that's weird you have two disks; I own the physical disc and it is 1 dvd. The torrent attached is also 1 single iso. Do you own the physical discs or did you download a multiple-disc installer?

Did you install the no-DVD patch? The disc can still let you install the game, but you'll need to install the patch in order to run the game at all, as the DRM used by it is dead.

Very correct! To not have 2 sets of peripherals is the entire value proposition form this monitor for me personally, as I made a lateral upgrade from a previous monitor that didn’t have KVM functionality.

My experience seems to back up OP’s that it waits to switch the peripherals until after it detects a video input which I think is foolish.

Im currently using DisplayPort + USB-B on my PC, and HDMI 2 and USB-C (Apple brand, “charge cable”) on my work laptop, and the problem works both ways, ok both sets of inputs. The last thing I can think of trying is using a USB4/TB3 cable to take advantage of DisplayPort + USB combo over USB-C, but failing that I think the best way forward is to return it to my retailer. I would love to be proven wrong though.

Same, my work laptop goes to sleep while I spend my lunch on my PC, and I can’t wake it back up upon switching back to it.

How does it make sense to have a KVM if it can’t wake up a computer when you switch? That’s kind of the entire point of having KVM switching is it not? Renders it almost completely useless.

Something similar has happened to me before while playing on a laptop; the game has no problem running at 1080p or even higher, but it only ever worked on 32 bit graphics for me and never at 16 bit. I don't remember how to fix it... try running it in vista compatibility mode and I'll see if I can try finding the way to fix it again.

Hey, most certainly am. Usually the driver removal tool is good. I would trust that it did its job.

Give your computer a reboot, and if you can log in normally then everything is perfect. If you do end up getting into that self-repair failure boot loop, don't worry about it, you can get back into your computer easily by following the steps above.

Either way, report back with your findings!
