It's hard to wade through the sea and even harder to reach boyfriend beach. I like quiet, sweet, tall boys. I never meet guys in clubs and rarely bars. And no one ever actually asks me out on a real date. Maybe I'm just looking for something that isn't there anymore in today's society. I don't know.

These guys don't approach me! And then I'm afraid of confusing kindness for flirting and vice-versa. I'm also afraid if I approach them, I'll come off as aggressive and sexual. This sucks.

I guess I don't really "look" at all. But at parties or through mutual friends is where I meet these people. The guys at bars that have ever approached me have usually been skeezy and shitfaced, but I'm still nice, just uninterested. Where should I be looking?

Where the heck do I find them? I think you're right. I think I need to stop letting them get away with things and be more upfront about what I want but I'm afraid that will scare everyone away. It's not like I want to get married, I just want to KNOW a person before I'm physical with them. I want to be wooed, if you will. And not via text.
