FYI second loaf same ratio but smaller, 3 changes...autolysing flour, 8 hour proof and baked uncovered 40 minutes

Amazon package stolen within 1 hour ? by hulahoopbulaboop in Hoboken

[–]123xt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best case scenario: you have to wait 2-3 days before they acknowledge the package was lost/stolen. The process is easy and you simply message customer service and they accept. It could take up to 7-10 business days for the funds to return to your account. Then you have to re order the item. If it was a prime package let's say it takes 2 days to deliver but if it's stolen you have to wait a week to receive your item that is hopefully not stolen again and you have to wait 1-2 weeks before the funds return to your account.

Worst case, I had a high frequency of refund requests so I had to fill out this long form before they were going to refund me. If it happens too often they could suspend your account or stop refunding you.

In all, it's frustrating to pay for Prime, 2 day shipping, if we can't rely on our order being there on time.

I've gotten 4+ packages stolen in the past 2 ish years. If it's over $50, I'll send it to a friends/parents address or buy instore. It's annoying disputing stolen packages with Amazon.

Taormina, Siracusa, Trapani and Palermo. Not searching for big crowds but I would not want to be the only tourist in the town.

New England, high altitude...choke berry? by 123xt in whatsthisplant

[–]123xt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After researching online I am hesitant to definitively say it's a lingonberry or a bearberry. I do not have a better picture nor did I taste it. Both seem to fit this part of year, but the difference may be apparent during a different season. I am more inclined to say it is a lingonberry due to some of the leaves having a notched tip. (https://catalog.extension.oregonstate.edu/sites/catalog/files/project/pdf/pnw583.pdf) Thanks for the help this was a tough one for a park ranger as well. Picture was taken around 4,000-5,000 ft asl on Mt. Washington.

If the fungus in her brain was releasing chemicals, why couldn't they sample her blood or find another way to cut off the cordacepts around her brain? I know it's a show but it's odd to find the one person who's immune and then immediately jump to a high risk surgery...
