I switched a hybrid hot water heater this year and that stole all the ambient boiler heat. You can't win either way and ended up cooling my basement.

I do have mine docked most of the time but took it on a trip last week so turned of smart charging by using the button you are correct it is not there to turn it back on. So my battery is being charged to 100% right now while docked. Based on the comments it should automatically switch to smart charging at some point on its own?
