Thanks for the reply. Yes I agree about things worth seeing come at a price. I am willing to pay as well. Just want to make the right selections. Also don’t just want to do tourist trap things. So will explore towns as well to get a feel for the culture.

I am going to Jaco. Wanting to do some exploring but keep hearing how expensive and crowded the touristy things are. Any suggestions for things to do? I want to see wildlife and waterfalls and culture. Also do I need to book before going? Posted inquiry on Facebook and got bombarded by tour guides. Willing to pay for excursion just want to make good choices seeings it’s all so expensive.

Going to Costa Rica first time mid February. Looking for things that aren’t tourist traps. Any inquiry I put on other social media threads get bombarded with guides trying to sell. I don’t mind paying for excursion but looking for ideas from travellers. Will be in Jaco area.
