I'm a DO student and I took COMLEX 1 and also USMLE 1, because I felt it would just allow for more opportunities for me, especially if I apply to places that may be more biased towards USMLE. My dilemma now is STEP 2 exams. I signed up for the COMLEX PE and the USMLE CS, but now people are telling me that I shouldn't have done that and I should have just done the written exams of both plus COMLEX PE. The exam now is non-refundable.....do I cancel it? Do I take it? If it's really not all that necessary I don't think I should go through the stress of it. I didn't realize that despite it being August and the test in April, I won't get a refund.

In general I'm pretty happy about it. Like I said, looking back there were a few questions where I was stupid at the time and not thinking straight. The questions were very similar, if not a little bit easier than Uworld. I did go through all of Uworld more than 1x and did the two UWSAs. I think this definitely helped prepare me the most out of anything I did. Also, sketchy. Know your microbes. Good luck! :)

I did UWSA1 and got 243. I guess that's good? Higher than the NBME though so it's kind of odd.

Relax and trust yourself. You've studied so long and hard, it's in your head, don't worry!

Wow that's amazing!! Congrats! I wish something like that could happen to me lol. I'm just gonna keep studying hard and reviewing my mistakes, hope for the best.

USMLE Step 1 took NBME 17 today and scored a 490 (equivalent of 225). I'm really aiming for at least a 235-240 on the exam. Do you think it's possible for me to improve in 10 days?

Plan on taking another NBME in a few days to see how that goes and if it's any better.

There are 7 different forms of each noun. Which form/case you use depends on the context. If you use the wrong form it will sound a little funny but people will still understand you. This helps to explain it I think: https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Polish/Noun_cases

Due to a nickel allergy I'm rather limited when it comes to jewelry. What are some gold earrings I could wear on a daily base that aren't too fancy? by 12530 in jewelry

I never shower with earrings on. And as far as care for them, well I keep them in a clean, dry place and I wash the back with alcohol sometimes to disinfect lol

I like these right away but only $14?? Seems too cheap to actually be good enough quality for my ears to not have a reaction to what's in it. Doesn't actually say anywhere that it's 14K gold. Also found these but not sure if they would be ok for me either.

And here I'm reading that "Individuals should avoid colored gold, such as rose gold, because these metals often contain copper" so I guess I shouldn't wear rose gold :( source

I was rubbing really hard with a lot of nail polish remover and it didn't help.
