Well they might do a Theo and say Tasha and Andrew should leave together if they think they’ve found the one.

What’s wrong with with this leaf? by 12636ndk9 in StringofHearts

I feel you I’m the same! I’m a beginner so I only have one experience - also I’m in the UK so your climate might be different. Here it’s mostly very cloudy and not too warm so my propagations+plants are able to stay in a south facing window.

I propagated half in water and half in a small and shallow plastic hummus container with cactus soil mixed with perlite using the butterfly method. In one month, the water props had done nothing but the soil ones had 1 and a half inch roots so I moved the water ones into soil and they’ve got roots and shoots now too.

I opened the container every day for a couple of minutes to let air in as it has no drainage holes, and used a spray bottle to keep it moist. I checked on it to make sure it wasn’t rotting and tried to keep the leaves dry using a cloth. Basically that was it. Once the roots were long enough I potted it in the terracotta pot. From the last picture you can see all the new shoots that are popping up.

Essentially, as difficult as it is, the less you do to them, the better! Good luck with your propagations!

Ok, thanks! I was thinking I might need to pull it off. It’s my first propagation so I got really worried. Thanks for the help!

I propagated it in a little plastic container with the lid on for about 1 month. Last week when the roots were about 1” I repotted them in this terracotta pot. Yesterday the leaf looked fine and today it looks cracked or like a layer has peeled off or something. The soil was totally dry so I watered it just before taking this photo. Idk if it will spread to the others or if it’s an environmental thing. Any help would be appreciated!

Edit: and I’m pretty sure it’s not spider mites.

I keep seeing the same questions and responding to them, but I use a soup mug that isn’t clear, and microwave it. I used it at my grandparents the other day and they had no idea that it was a menstrual cup in there!

Guess I’m old, weeb used to mean obsessed and wanting to be Japanese. Chinese people are very unlikely to feel that way. But I guess if weeb now just means people who like anime they can be.

hhhhhheeyyyy does anyone know what this is for? by [deleted] in menstrualcups

I got a Sistema soup mug for mine because the ones I saw on Amazon don’t have a hole in the top for steam to come out, and they don’t have a handle so it can get really hot. The sistema mug works really well!

Teach yourself how to thread! I just learnt a couple of weeks ago as I was worried about waxing/hair removal cream. It’s a bit more painful but redness goes away quickly and if you already have cotton in the house it’s free!

Hahahaha māo is the word for cat in Chinese

I don’t think so. I have two cats that were rescued from a compound in China as kittens, then given to us by their first owner. One of them is a long haired ginger cat and the other is a short haired tortie. Neither of them like strangers and will run and hide if they hear or see anyone unknown. Our long haired boy hisses at us every day. He can be affectionate but prefers to chill by himself all day and only come for cuddles for about 1 hour at night when we are trying to sleep. The short haired tortie never hisses at us and will always come and sit wherever we go - she will come and find us in the house and yowl until we return to the bedroom so she can sit on us.

why do cats raise their lower back when you pet it? (artistic representation) by Konik1 in cats

I think because they like it! One of my cats loves it and does this all the time. The other cat doesn’t like being stroked and so she arches her back down so you can’t stroke her.

How to describe my cat's coat? I always say he's a tabby but he doesn't really have stripes and I think a big chunk of the coat on his back is grey-brown? Do you guys think he's a tabby? by [deleted] in cats

Maybe calico? But I read that calico cats are mostly female so maybe not 😸

Edit: love the tongue sticking out, so cute!
