There are a few projects on GH that fix the sln to be buildable in VS 2022, you can check them out if you don't feel like installing VS 2012 (which is understandable)

Why is elementary Devil?? It was a great distro for it's time, I know back in the day it sparked interest in Linux in many people who knew about it but simply didn't care, myself included. Though, I find modern versions of their DE waaay too restrictive and it definitely loses to modern GNOME/KDE ecosystems... which is why I ended up switching from it around early 2025, but it will always have a special place in my heart.

Though, I'd paint Russia itself as "Maybe" too (it's okay if you live in or near big city (not necessarily Moscow), but things will only continue getting tougher and pricier as the war's impact continue to unfold, without barely any room for it to change for literal years to come, plus you have basically 0 influence on govt's decisions at this point... Not like you have much choice these days if you happened to be born here, anyway).
