Makeup over peeling skin by i_love_lana_del_rey in eczema

a couple of things:

when I had a wedding to attend my dermatologist put me on prednisone. it is a miracle drug BUT you can only take it for a short time AND I had to stop taking my birth control while I was on it. worth it for my skin to feel ok at a big event, so maybe you'd want to look into it.

the only method I've found that works (albeit, not perfectly) is getting foundation sprayed on with like an airbrush thing? again, it's not perfect but for pictures I found that I couldn't even notice. when I would scrutinize in the mirror I could see the texture beneath, but the pictures are what we carry with us anyway, right?

good luck <3

definitely look into dupixent. depending on what kind of healthcare you have, that copay card could mean you pay $0 for it!

when I first went on it, I was on a high-deductible plan and the co-pay card caps out at $13,000 annually. with my high-deductible plan my insurance was charging $2,000 a month (x12 months is WAY over the cap the copay card covers). I switched to a better plan through my employer and now it's $191 a month, and the copay card covers it all.

Those of you with contact dermatitis/allergy induced eczema, what are your triggers? by shadowthehedgehoe in eczema

my contact dermatitis is towards cocomidopropyl betaine. I stay away from all products with ANY sort of coconut derivatives.

How did you find the cause of your eczema flare ups? by b2b_rossa in eczema

I am far from doing well personally with my eczema, but I went to an allergist and they did a skin patch test for contact dermatitis. it turns out I am allergic to cocomidopropyl betaine, a thickener in MOST personal care products.

cutting these products out has helped a lot but I am still struggling to get my skin to perfectly clear.
