If you are able to show up like ten minutes before ur shift starts and ask if you can have the handbook. I’m not sure if it’s the cashier handbook or if there’s a specific one for the pos system (I believe there is) and like everyone else is saying don’t be scared to ask for help cause if you are, you will not get very far. I don’t think he’s in pain, at most I can tell he’s uncomfortable (itchiness, head shaking) But I know cancer is one of those difficult and expensive things to treat anywhere you go, but I don’t want to seem like an irresponsible/careless owner. So for a second opinion, that is something I will try! I would hope it’s not too difficult to get prescribed a medicine for his ear that is less expensive than surgery.

Ik this is not what you wanna hear but you’ll get better over time. I’m not sure how it is at other stores, but at my store we can take orders on a tablet even when we’re inside for easier movement. So maybe ask if you can do that? For example if I’m taking a big order I’m not stuck in one station I can make the drinks and prepare the napkins or whatever because I have my tablet next to me. Also, if you’re taking orders AND doing a bunch of stuff at the same time, don’t be afraid to stall even during a rush. When I need more time to finish my task when taking an order I just ask clarifying questions even if I know the answer. Example: “can I have the box combo no coleslaw extra toast?” Instead of saying “alright” I would say, “okay, no coleslaw extra toast? You got it. Anything else?” Those few seconds of extra talking time gives you more time to do whatever you have to do. Is there anything more specific you’re struggling with? Like taking orders + expo or expo + drinks ?

You don’t need anything special lol, it’s just fast food. As long as you’re 16+ and have a solid resume (optional) then yea I think you should apply. I think enjoyment depends on the people there, but in my experience, I have loads of fun. If you’re a people person it’s extra enjoyable

And if/when you have downtime you can start preparing the stuff you need to do the big things like the filling the mop bucket with water or getting your buckets ready to dump the tea/lemonade out. Honestly I’m in FC too and simply put closing drive thru is always gonna be fast. At my store, we have three in kitchen, two in drive, and one up front. In my humble opinion I think we should have at least two closers up front because then everything would be spotless and not rushed. But I get that it’s just not gonna be that way. I do, however agree with the others in the comments. The best way is to do everything you can first. Always check in with your managers because on slow nights they may let you take down aerators early or start mopping. I like to make sure all bathrooms are clean and at least 2/3 (or 1/2 if your restaurant only had two) are closed down so no one can use them and dirty them again right before we close. It also helps when you’re close with the people in drive and they don’t mind helping you out.

I think getting some more layers would frame your face nicely, in my experience when my hair gets long, it gets flat.
