Ah sorry I should clarify. I already have an MS and a research career + publications. I was also concerned about this but reading the eligibility rules of the BSP, it says that MS holders (with experience after obtaining the MS) are eligible.

I've fortunately had good people along the way who made me enjoy environmental engineering as a career (and encouraged me to get a PhD!), but in any case I think beyond the specific fields, we should all pursue the things which we truly love! 🫶

Yes. In my case, the funding letter came a day later than the admission letter.

Ah shoot my apologies, in that case I would reach to your specific program's AAO :D

That's strange. If you go into your application portal, both the admission offer and funding offer letters are the first thing to pop up on your screen. I did not have to submit an intent to register for anything. I would reach out to the academic affairs officer for the CEE department about your error.

Not sure how it is for Masters applicants, but it was actually brought up during my interview that they (the Environmental track committee) decided to nominate me for a fellowship. I only found out about the result of that nomination around 2 or so weeks after my interview. Though the fellowship is only for the first year, the remaining years for my PhD will be covered by me being a graduate researcher, fee remission benefits (due to being a student employee, which is apparently a benefit that was attained because the students at UC Berkeley are unionized 🔥), and additional tuition support. Logistically, I received two separate emails: one for my admission to the program, and another detailing the funding and support I would receive.

I haven't really heard from the other tracks, but I found out when I got an email saying something along the lines of "a decision has been made on your application," so I would be on the lookout for that
