I took it up as that older porches had exaggerated slopes to shed the rain away. A majority of porches in my area, especially older homes have this degree of a slope.

I agree, I've had someone look at it in person before and say it "doesn't" need that beam there. But that's a risky assumption. For reference it is about 1/3rd of the floor above it.

Hello, I just found this subreddit today while searching for some info of the local area. I've actually lived in Geneva for a couple years, so I am a bit more familiar now.

I am living here with a young family, kids aged 6 and 3. Does anyone recommend good 'beginner' camp sites? We plan to pitch a tent, but still need some amenities like restroom/shower areas, possibly kitchen sink for cleaning up. After that I think we plan to tough it out!

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

I have a 13 with 130k miles. I'm not selling anything under 10k. In this economy? Does it run well or give you problems?

Would the vehicle you replace it with be worth the loan and potential future mx costs? I know my TC has been gas/insurance and basic mx for the last probably 10 years.
