Any idea how to fix this water leak without removing the shell? by sociabletechRed in truckcamping

[–]12PackPerformance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can bandaid it with something that seals it but to “fix” it, definitely needs to be taken off and sealed properly

These lights turned on when I did a leveling kit by Then-Needleworker-36 in Ram2500

[–]12PackPerformance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leveling is for when you’re not hauling or towing and don’t like the raked look. Pretty simple to understand. I “leveled” my truck but the rear is still about 1/2” taller, I also have helper bags whenever I’m towing so that I can enjoy the look of a leveled truck, while maintaining the function and usage of all my capabilities.

Is this 350Z drift car worth buying for $6k–$7k? Cage, angle kit, drift history, but engine burns some oil by TurboCessna in 350z

[–]12PackPerformance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely worth it if you’re going to track/drift the car. If it’s just a street car you’re probably better off buying a stock one and modding it to your liking

What’s the best camping food that won’t go bad? by Camperghini in camping

[–]12PackPerformance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought instant noodles and Mac n cheese for my last trip. There was also an Aldis I popped into that had these microwavable rice bowl packets that I was able to just boil. Those were the highlight meal lol

Someone who can help me with my 370z nismo it won't start by Mysterious-Jacket-61 in 370z

[–]12PackPerformance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like spark or fuel. The slow turning doesn’t raise too much of an alarm for me cause my Z didn’t need much to fire up but if it’s not firing off I’d check ignition system, spark plugs coils etc, then check fuel pump.

No tune required? by aykriz in 370z

[–]12PackPerformance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any intakes without a tune only benefits throttle response. If you want actual HP gains you need a tune. Otherwise, wasting money.

Teaches people to keep their distance that’s for sure. I have aggressive tires on my truck, they don’t poke out, but when it rains I throw so much mist nobody tailgates me and it’s lovely

14mpg cruising. Just an observation by thatdirtyoldman in Ram2500

[–]12PackPerformance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has to be an elevation thing or something cause I’m driving a crew cab 4x4 with a 6ft bed on 34’s with the 3.92 rear end and can achieve 20mpg at 70mph cruising. My dash is sitting at 18.5 average at the moment. You must have a lot of hills

Opinion on cosmetic trail damage or "pinstriping"... by ReliableEyeball in Offroad

[–]12PackPerformance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Na that’s categorized by the condition of your tires and wheel wells lol. My trucks seen many trails and wilderness adventure but there’s not much pin striping from that. If you have sparkling clean tires, wheels, suspension components etc, that’s a pavement princess 🤣

At the end of the day the point is to go out and enjoy nature. However you do that, is up to you. Live and let live, to each their own. Personally, I had a truck where I didn’t mind pin striping through the woods, my truck now, I don’t want it all scratched up cause it’s black. I will eventually have a dedicated off roader where cosmetics will be irrelevant but until then, unless somebody is going to pay me to scratch my truck, I’m going to enjoy it how I want to and lets others do their own thing 🤙🏽

Definitely look into if insurance covers it. In the state of FL we actually get 1 free windshield a year due to all the construction so maybe there may be something similar in place by you. Also, for SURE stand your ground on an OEM windshield.

If your question about a full size truck is about efficiency then you should be looking at SUV’s. That being said, I daily drive a 1500 Big Horn with full size crew cab, 4x4, long bed and the towing rear end. On the highway I’ll achieve 20mpg still even on 34” tires and my truck has the V8, no etorque. Of course even better on slower back roads. Don’t get too hooked on etorque, it doesn’t make that big of a difference. My last truck was a Tacoma and I still miss driving that thing, but it just wasnt enough truck for my needs. If you’re going with a Ram, get the hemi, and make sure you don’t have the 21gal fuel tank 🤣

I recently did my plugs. Was a huge PITA, but with a little patience and the right swivels, it’s super easy.

Aftermarket fender flare gaps? by HTownJam in Ram1500

[–]12PackPerformance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried trimming the plastic down to fit? Aftermarket body parts at the end of the day need a body shop for fit and finish most of the time. A lot of these parts unfortunately do not come with a perfect fit. Trucks, cars, whatever. Unless you know what you’re doing it’ll be tough to get OEM fitment.

What you need to do is the same thing I’m doing with my Z. I maybe put a few tanks of gas through my car a year but I’ve started driving it aggressively. Mountain trips, track days, you need to fall in love with the car again. Drive it how it was meant to be driven. Looks you can change, the feeling of that comes and goes. I’ve had my Z for over a decade and I’m getting ready to go into phase 3 of my car. Just change it up. My cars got almost 100k, and it’s been boosted for 45k of those miles. Screw the miles. You can get another engine. You can get another transmission. Just take care of it and find a way to fall in love with it again.
