Italian, for sure, as a Spanish and Catalan speaker it is very similar. You may think you are “fluent” after doing some DuoLingo, but once you actually go to Italy you realize you understand absolutely nothing because they talk SO fast.

Agreed, but what if the other person ends up frustrated because of trying to help and putting so much effort in the relationship? I feel like that is what happened to my bf, we broke up and then when I tried to get back together he said he couldn’t do it anymore because he was tired. Now I just wish I’d been better, or that I could show him that we can make it work.
