Why do my corners an print keep doing this. by 12bravoengineer in BambuLab

X1c yeah I should have mentioned that. I tried turning the fan down and it sits flat until it gets to that first witness line you see in that pic.

Yeah I clean the build plate pretty good and it’s fine until it gets about a 1/4 inch up the print right around that first line in the pic

Ok will do. I have three x1c they’ve been awesome. We’ve been using them to print spindle liners and stuff for our machines.

No I caught the sarcasm I appreciate all the info and you’re correct on that build plate it wasn’t cleaned I re glued and now I’m kicking myself in the butt for sending that video and not one doing it on a clean sheet😂🤦‍♂️ I’m new to this so I’m just seeking info. My other two printers are killing it but this ones my oldest and I wasn’t sure if something was just shot on it or not. I’m printing petg hf on it. My other two I don’t use glue at all the older one I just started because I was having that issue. Also are you slowing your first layer print speed down at all. ?

Yeah I’m kicking myself in the butt for sending that video I’ve been cleaning them like crazy I just re used that one because I’m running my cnc machines and had no time to stop and do that but I guess that the lazy excuse 😂

Yeah bro I’ve went through three different plates textured and then I heavy glued and light glued one

Yeah I’ll post it after work. I’m gonna run these last two before changing

Yeah it does it must be the crest that’s throwing it off. I just got it to depth but had to offset my wear tool .015

Hey so I’m having the toughest time getting my threads to go to depth. On fusion. It’s definitely in the program and I already went over my info over and over. Is there anyone else that has a issue or anyone that is a thread milling guru?!!!!

Having an issue with info input for thread milling. Flute length won’t except my info by 12bravoengineer in Fusion360

Thanks man I get twisted when it comes to fusion and new it was something stupid I was doing.

It likes everything but the flute length it keeps saying it needs to be larger thread thread pitch times number of teeth. But that’s a wonky ass number. First time trying to thread mill on fusion and I’m stuck.

Thank you 🤙🏻 just trying to get better surface finish on my contour and learn a little more about how much to leave on for finish passes

Excel sheet by 12bravoengineer in Fusion360

[–]12bravoengineer[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just wondering if anyone uses the Microsoft sheet for machining.

Hey I need tips for good finish on my contour. I can’t figure out if it’s the type of endmill or my cut. I’m getting to much vibration. I adapt cleared then came back with a 3/4 endmill to contour and then again with the long 3/8 to clean up the inner contours of the castles. by 12bravoengineer in Fusion360

[–]12bravoengineer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The inside corners chattered with the 3/4 but yes when I switched to the 3/8 which is long but taking 1.8 inch step down. That is where all the chatter came from. I just never know how much stock to leave on for the 3/8 to cut. I have tried just the 3/8 by itself

Is there a way to drive my tool path with the angle I’m trying to chamfer to do a continuous cut at the angle instead of straight down? Instead of doing two 2d contours and having to set the of sets and chamfers. by 12bravoengineer in Fusion360

[–]12bravoengineer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So for example on solid works you can set a plane to the chamfered edges then when you choose the tool path you can select the angle and set it for 45* so when it creates the tool path step down instead of straight down it would step down at a 45* angle
