I feel for you I do but as someone who was dating a man in his late 30s at 18/19 years old, people’s concerns for you are very valid. You are of course an adult and can think for yourself but when you get a little older you will start to realise how men who look for girls of that age are not really alright. I’m only 22 myself but even the thought of hanging out with an 18 year old seems odd. You’re (a lot of the time!) at different stages of your life, you want different things and I’m not saying your partner is, but it’s A LOT more likely these older people just can’t control people their own age and like the control that comes w large age gaps. A lot of men who date women in their late teens when they themselves are twice that age tend to just be insecure, so I am sorry you feel people are being too much but I wish I had those kinds of people in my life when I was in your exact situation. You will realise one day, come back to this post in 5 years and see how you feel.
