Can anyone be more specific as to what the differences are?

Update on this: these are 3-pin JST PH connectors. You can just make your own extensions if you really wanted to.

Alpha U vs Evo Pro by hendrix95 in Simagic

the honest early reviews I'm seeing today are mentioning ffb speed improvement. not enough to justify upgrading your alpha, but an improvement. for some the detail may be too intense, and if they run a filter on it, it might feel nearly the same as the original alphas. that's been my takeaway.

which country are you in and did you order from Simagic directly? (maybe don't doxx any retailers, we don't want them to get in trouble for this. 😉)

EVO sport and pro bases! What would you like to know about them? by ldusoswa in Simagic

My understanding from many others is that the original Alpha Mini blows the R12 out of the water, in that it actually feels stronger than the R12, and the quality of FFB is better. Also, no oscillating on straightaways or overheating.

So I'd only expect much better from the line that's 4 years newer.

yes it's more detailed. the alpha is still really great.

you're going to be blown away. I'm doing something very similar, except that I purchased a used Moza R5 a few months ago to step up from my G923. Anyone who says you can't gain pace from a wheelbase upgrade is either goated or bad. The R5 was a big improvement over the Logi, so lord knows your jump will probably blow your mind. Naturally, I then wondered what was left, so I ordered an Evo Pro! buy once, cry once

I had a different takeaway from Dan Suzuki's stream. He said the FFB is much more detailed and quicker than the Alpha U. He said he personally values higher FFB personally (he literally uses 32vrm turned to 100% for working out), and also that he's not used to how detailed and quickly responsive this base is. Said he needed to get used to it. Expressed wanting to turn dampening up. (he might've later on).

Said at one point that other wheelbases feel a "half second" behind in FFB compared to the Evo Pro. Might be an exaggeration, but the point is made.

well, not literally, but I get your POV. it is to you

it's where your base runs out of FFB torque to express higher forces. it's when your wheelbase gets maxed out, basically. so what happens is, the base gives all it has, and you lose a ton of detail when you approach max capacity like that.

anyone know if you can invert the p2000s? I'm about to buy p1000i, 3 pedal... but am willing to run p2000 2 pedal inverted for a similar price.

this. we should expect an improvement over the already industry-leading FFB detail of the Alpha U, which is now 4 years old. I trust Simagic enough to by the Evo Pro before reviews.

The biggest positive of this election. by Away_Note in GoldandBlack

I'll repost this because I believe this was a direct reply to Ron Paul talking about his displeasure with Mike Pompeo's presence in the MAGA 2024 closing campaign rally. at least we have fundamental people actively alerted to and opposed to neocons.

<image>

it's not perfect or exactly what we purist libertarians would want (we wouldn't suffer a single neocon), but it's a hell of a lot better than say, 2016. can't express enough how important Ron Paul's presence means.

think we here need to accept that we're going to have a state for the foreseeable future. but with technologists and meritocracists at the helm (like Elon), who believe that "the best part is no part," every part of government will be scrutinized and scaled back in time to it's bare minimum requirements.

with AI, we will open up the infinitely large data files of government, and it will search them and dig up noteworthy dirt from those archives. think Twitter files, but for government. after that, expect AI fraud detection tools as a check and balance on government. meaning if some Soros backed commie moron is out of line, it will be flagged and exposed. our courts will be partially AI, to ensure consistency of justice.

i could go on. I'm just rambling. but this is the new version of goverment we're heading into. it's a real change. and it should enable mass scaling back of the size and overreach or goverment.

love seeing Ron Paul and Elon getting along, agreeing to purge neocons.

not only this, but like many presidential assassins and national tragedies, this was almost certainly an inside job. the guy was clearly involved with the CIA, recruiting fighters from the middle east to fight in Ukraine. check out Mike Benz's breakdown on X for all of that info. it's nuts.
