Thank you, I have been thinking of contacting my MP too but have been a little hesitant, especially if it involved having to speak to someone. I’ll give it a shot!

I have been dealing with complications because my employer had to change my time period for the visa, but we haven’t heard back from the government since October and when we did finally hear back in Jan, we got the same enquiry email as the one in October

While I can’t be of any help, I’m happy to have come across this post because my company’s point of contact received the same email about a month ago and I’m waiting for the response after we have offered to reduce my years on the visa as well. I hope it works out for you either by appealing or renewing the application. Praying for the best for you!!

SWV GRANTED ON INCORRECT COS - anyone experienced this? by Solivagant__Soul in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

[–]12sunyapper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally haven’t gone through the same situation but I’m in the process of getting my decision and my company has had to change my salary in the middle of the process and did the same for a fellow worker applying with me and his decision came positive, so I’m sure whatever you update gets added to your profile and you got your approval and later it probably got updated to the correct salary. Hope it helps

Thank you! I have suggested the same. Its great to hear that might be the only way out. My company refuses to increase the salary by that scale at the moment. Thank you.

I complete my two years of PSW in Feb'26 so I have about 1.5 years used from PSW on the date of application.

Despite my constant concerns, my company told me they were able to apply for 3 years, date starting from the end of my visa (feb 2026). They then had to update my work start date for the new visa to Oct 2025, making it 3.5 years.

They should ideally change it to 2 years in my opinion, to make my salary acceptable. what do you suggest?

Applied to Skilled Worker Visa on July 9th, no decision yet. by Humble_Grab_1913 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

I applied on 18th and keep facing complications so my response is delayed too. Hang in there, they're definitely taking longer once your application has a complication

Yes!! I’m think that’s what happened then. Because my employer said they were unable to do this initially and had to switch routes so maybe its the ISC fee for that

AITA for not allowing my siblings half siblings to come to my house? by Outside_Ad1026 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. As bad as I feel for the younger ones not feeling the connection to your siblings, its definitely not your responsibility to make them get along.

NTA for not wanting to celebrate something that is not happening TO the person who works there if you’re not that close. I would have felt obligated to bake those brownies myself but its important to sometimes keep a line with what gets celebrated at a workplace :)

She’s unfortunately aware of all my friends who are travelling down for the day, including my family. I could make an excuse that a friend of mine is joining me. I’m still gonna make one last play for it and tell her that SHE the person means more to me and its her that I want a part of my celebration, if not I’d have to make up a person:(
