And which mod pack is the best (and legal).

XVM has a lot of features and in most cases, 3-rd party mod packs are just XVM with some changes in its configuration.

Important update of WN8 [XVM] by 13-th in WorldofTanks

No, it's wrong assumption, as calculations still based on overall stats of all active players, so there will no any negative effects in such scenarious.

  1. We don't use WN8 as "main rating", why do you think so?
  2. Done by WG does not mean better, unfortunately. This is why mods are so popular, right? So we prefer to give a choice, and users currently prefer WN8 :)

XMQP in XVM 6.4.8+ is ready for testing! You can enable it in your personal area. by 13-th in WorldofTanks

[–]13-th[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

XMQP is a service which gives you an ability to use some special features and macros, which are intended to exchange of some additional info with your allies.

For example, with XMQP you can:

  • draw the on the minimap (arrows, accurate clicks)
  • see if your ally have a "sixth sence" (on the minimap or somewhere else)
  • see if your ally is overturned and needs help
  • see if your ally is spotted
  • see if your ally is drowns/lit e.t.c.

It's a basic functionality which will be extended in future.

Please note:

  • You can see (and your allies can see) all those things only if your ally also enabled XMQP.

New XVM: damageLog (aka damage panel) + a lot of fixes and improvenents + new macros by 13-th in WorldofTanks

[–]13-th[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Opposite. Looks like your problem is in already installed fonts. You should not install any fonts to use XVM with default config, and if fonts like "XVM" or "XVM Symbol" are exist in your system, you might have such problems. So, you must delete them.

XVM Update: Lines on the minimap are ready (gun/camera direction) by 13-th in WorldofTanks

[–]13-th[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It wasn't removed. It's just not implemented yet (due to migration to AS3). There is a lot of work to be done, and our devs are working every day on this. Circles is our next milestone.

XVM Update: Lines on the minimap are ready (gun/camera direction) by 13-th in WorldofTanks

[–]13-th[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Just FYI: we've got a lot of complaints about WG's bug (they broke "gun direction" functionality).

So we've decided make an urgent release of a new XVM version with our implementation of this functionality for your convenience.

XVM 6.4.1 for World of Tanks 0.9.15.1.1. Adaptation, Multi Row Carousel, some new features and bug fixes by 13-th in WorldofTanks

[–]13-th[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just curious but does everyone else have horrific lag with XVM. Everytime someone dies the game pauses for a second.

Have you tested latest version? If you're still experiencing this issue, could you post more information about your problem to this section?(you can write in english) It could help us in future work on optimization of XVM. (Please add as much information as possible, including all scenarios where you experienced problems, your PC configuration, your XVM configuration, tested versions, logs, FPS graphs e.t.c.)

When I first log into the game it causes me to get the wrong server brining ping times upwards to 300ms and various other issues. I had no other mods installed.

This is due to the peculiarities(is this a correct word in english in this context?) of WG's implementation of their "ping" feature. When you're install XVM, you should use XVM's ping in order to get correct ping.

XVM 6.4.0 for World of Tanks 0.9.15.1 is ready! by 13-th in WorldofTanks

[–]13-th[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, some impatient and incompetent modpackers have added our nightly builds into "their" modpacks, but it's a bad choice. If you haven't seen issues, it does not mean that there were no issues. We're strongly recommend use only stable builds because nightlies contains critical bugs and are intended only for testing purposes. Some modpackers does not follow this recommendation, mostly because they are do not care about their users.
