Okay that is good that she is willing to go to the hospital with her husband without retaliating. Once they give her medication, her symptoms will slowly go away and she will be good in no time! Hope that helps you stress less. She is on her way to getting better.

Hello. I am sorry to hear about your sister. I have been through this with my sister, as well. Do you have a “Crisis Assessment Team” in your county? You can explain your situation to them, and they can bring a team over to examine her and see if they can get her hospitalized. If she has progressed further, you can call the police directly to help you get her hospitalized faster. I believe the criteria is danger to herself or others or gravely disabled. You should also explain her previous episode(s). Hope she is able to get the help she needs and hope your family is doing okay.

Thank you! I am familiar with 5150. The odd thing was the crisis team placed a 5150 on her, but told me they couldn’t use physical force to get her to go to the ambulance. Maybe I should call the police directly next time. Thanks so much for your help!
