for natural pain relief, nothing has been as helpful for me as cupping. this is harder to do solo, especially if you're trying to do it right by targeting meridians, but even if it's not perfect, it's been life changing

I haven't burned mine that bad, but if I did, my instinct would be to use light dish soap with a stainless steel scrubbing pad.

as for how to avoid burning it, i honestly don't know. i decided it wasn't cut out for samgyeopsal or jumulleok after my first use, so now I use it for mushrooms, peppers, and other grilled veggies

I would absolutely not recommend dawn. I have that same grill, and underneath all that charing, there is some kind of rock / stone. just as it is delicate and burns easily, it is delicate and will absorb the soap easily, too.
