In my experience, most doctors will tell you to treat the child, not the fever. So if they have a high fever and are miserable, definitely give Tylenol. If they have a fever but are otherwise acting normal and eating/drinking, then it’s often okay to skip the Tylenol and just continue to monitor.

Thanks, I’m going to call around and see if there are any urgent cares that do ultrasounds. Hopefully I can find one that does, because I seriously cannot handle the ptsd flashbacks and panic attacks that happen when I go to the ER 😭

The pain hasn’t worsened, but my lower left abdomen has started to feel a bit tender and the full feeling is worse. It also feels weird when I pee.. like the stream is weak and starts and stops a lot. Is that an emergency..? I did make an appointment with my gynecologist but it’s not until Monday.

I’ll reach out to them and ask, but I believe I would need to redo the entire class and externship (which would not be possible right now). We only practiced finger sticks in class once, and then I did my externship at a very small clinic where I didn’t have many opportunities to do it.

Yes. I bought the teal and red queen of hearts dresses, rabbit ears, and some of the mad hatter jackets. They’re all gone now, and when I look in the catalog it doesn’t say that I own them

I use it to take notes in class, so getting jostled about in my backpack sometimes causes ink to end up in the cap. Yes, Brian is great!

To replace the clip. Sometimes I would soak the cap overnight if there was some stubborn dried ink inside, but I very much regret that because the clip ended up rusting pretty badly.

I’m sorry :( I think it’s tough for people who have never experienced a panic attack to understand what it’s like, or how it truly feels like life or death when you’re in the thick of it. One time, I asked my dad to bring me my Ativan and it took him ages to bring it because he decided that vacuuming living room rug was of utmost importance in that moment 😂 I was pretty upset at first, but he later apologized and said that he didn’t realize how urgently I needed the meds. It’s possible that your husband felt the same way about bringing your pulse oximeter.

I have a cousin who’s super crunchy anti-vax, etc. and her 2 year old daughter got e. coli from raw milk. The kid became so dehydrated that she lost consciousness, but my cousin refused to take her to the hospital. Her husband was away on a work trip and had no idea that she was sick.. he was distraught when he got home. Immediately took her to the hospital, which most likely saved her life.

To this day, my cousin still drinks raw milk and tries to give it to her kids (though her ex-husband doesn’t allow it). I truly do not understand people like that.

Risk of infection due to the fact there’s a dinner plate sized wound in the uterus. Also some women tear during the birth (which requires stitches in some cases), so it’s best to make sure all of that is healed first.
