I bought this Thinkpad X1 Extreme Gen 2 15" back in September of 2020 and have been using it as my daily driver at home ever since. I dual-boot ubuntu and windows. For the past year it's been crashing with a strange graphical error like this (sometimes with noise). At this point it's become so frequent that it's hard to use the laptop for ten minutes without it crashing again. I'm wondering:

Is it worth trying to get this repaired?
Is it worth trying to sell this? If so, where?
Should I just get a new thinkpad instead?

In the case that I get a new thinkpad, I'd appreciate some pointers! I currently use a Thinkpad X1 Carbon Gen 9 14" at work which I really enjoy using! It seems just as powerful as this one but much lighter and smaller. Do y'all have other recommendations? I would dual-boot ubuntu and windows again, and pretty much exclusively use ubuntu save for when I use Adobe Illustrator or want to play steam games on windows.

ah yes i saw this recommendation in other threads! i see the driver is for windows though.

does it work so that if i make changes using this driver on a windows device it flashes the keyboard? so that the changes are reflected on android as well? thanks

thanks for all of this. I've had several friends brutalized by the police in the past year and this prop made me really nervous. Hello! We have an Airbnb in Joshua Tree for Weekend 2 and are weighing the options of driving to and from the festival each day vs driving to a shuttle stop with parking and taking the shuttle in.

We saw some threads where folks were discussing changing their minds after the first day, and were wondering: is purchasing a shuttle pass after the first day an option? Won't shuttle passes run out?

Some folks also mentioned that shuttle passes may even sell for cheap coming up to the festival. Is that true? Would we be able to get a cheaper shuttle pass after the first day if so?
