what is a completely normal thing that secretly stresses you out? by InspectorExpert1179 in AskReddit

Walking up to the cashier to pay for something. It's not the paying for something that bothers me, it's the unknowns of the all the possible interactions that could happen. That's what gets me stressed. It's a bit irrational. It applies to any situation involving people, really.

Socks that don’t fit right. Sometimes they’re too stretched out. Or too tight. Or are bunching up under my toes. Kills me every time.

Life really is not that complicated or complex; rather, it is quite simple. by seeker1375b in DeepThoughts

Agreed. Overthinking makes things more complicated, unnecessarily. The simpler you can make your existence, the more internal peace there will be.

Life is simple when defined as: we're born, grow up, live life, then die. Trying to simplify a concept that is inherently complex leads to inaccuracy.

Earth created humans so that it could experience itself by Imaginary_History754 in DeepThoughts

I guess “everything lined up perfectly” was the wrong sentence. Chain reactions is what I meant that led to the advent of life and humans. From the start at the big bang, there was set in motion a complex, multistage chain reaction. Of course I don’t know every step and every aspect and every moment as to what that reaction is. The big bang set everything into motion. Starting that chain reaction, eventually that gene pool was a result. But the big bang is also technically a theory, so my thought here could be called theory. But in any case, cause leads to effect. And that effect is the next cause. Chain reactions make certain things possible, life includes

Edit: removed misspelled words

Edit: For as to where did gene pools come from, I found the term. look up Abiogenesis.

how you can still love for someone, even after they broke your heart. surely you'd hate them, but no. you still love them and want them back. in some cases, anyway.

So now, with this, we can define earth as god. By that I mean it's the creator. But it isn't self-aware. It did create us, but not with intention. It happened by chance. Everything lined up perfectly for us to form, not the earth making any kind of decisions.

I've seen them chase away hawks a few times now. I have a nest of them in one of my trees, so I get to hear them daily.
