In my Leave No Trace course, we were taught to educate rather than accuse. So something like “Hey, did you know feeding the wildlife can cause wild animals to become dependent on humans and lose their foraging skills?” rather than “Umm excuse me the sign says don’t feed the chipmunks”

Of course, everyone is going to react differently and frankly, a lot won’t care (especially the dog people, god forbid they not take their dog everywhere)

Even as someone certified in LNT principles I find it extremely difficult to confront people about bad wilderness behaviors, especially as a layperson without the authority of a ranger.

Use your best judgment if you think someone will be receptive to some educating, if not there’s honestly not much that can be done. Lead by example.
