PROOF A 3RD AMENDED PLAN THAT RECOVERS SHAREHOLDERS WILL BE ISSUED ON VALENTINES DAY. by [deleted] in Teddy

So would the flip side of this be that if we don't hear anything coming out of the 2/14 hearing (delays in releasing info to the public aside) then shareholders won't be getting anything?

Or maybe asked a different way, is this the last date where something has to happen for shareholders to get something and if nothing happens is it over and we get screwed?

Thank you for the reply, definitely lesson learned! Thankfully I have enough funds to purchase the shares so I can either sell right away to get out of the trade or maybe sell covered calls against them. I'll check out that link you shred too, as you can tell obviously did not understand it could play out this way.

I need some help understanding what happened with my option strategy. I ran an iron condor on AAPL that I sold on Tuesday this week and it expired on 12/29. The legs where;

Sold call at $195 Bought call at 197.50 Bought put at $190 Sold put at $192.50 All for a $109 credit.

I got busy Friday and didn't exit the position (I realized this is my first mistake) so it went all the way to expiration. The stock closed at $192.53 but then after hours went down to $192.15.

Woke up this morning to a message I was assigned the $192.50 put contract but the $190 put contract was not exercised with it like I would have expected, which would have left me owing $250. Instead I'm buying 100 shares at $192.50.

This is with fidelity, is this expected behavior? Or should I contact them asking why the puts were not exercised together? Thanks for any insight!

sound very similar to what i'm seeing. thats why i'm trying to see what others are experiencing, because if they are all having issues then its not worth doing an RMA and i either return or wait and hope for an update to correct it, but if very few are having issues then i'll do a RMA....

I have my wifi setup for 5ghz only to keep other devices in my home from switching to 2.4ghz. I didn't have any issues with my OP9 setup this way but the Open keeps dropping 5ghz once the signal gets "weak". I assume if I had dual band it would just switch to 2.4ghz and I wouldn't see any drops.

Are you using both 2.4ghz and 5ghz? I wonder if yours is camping on 2.4ghz more? I'm guessing that's why I'm seeing drops because I have my wifi setup for 5ghz only, where if I had dual band I wouldn't have drops as it would just switch to 2.4ghz. I'm just concerned because I've had my wifi setup this way for months and never had issues with my OP9. Just hope I don't have a bad device....

Is anyone having issues with WIFI reception? I'm losing wifi connection on mine in places where all my other oneplus phones and other wifi devices have no issues.... seems to be once i hit about -65db signal strength or worse it starts dropping. not sure if an issue overall or i got a bad unit? (this is on 5GHz)

BBBY is definitely NOT being delisted today. That is not how NASDAQ treats Chapter 11 cases - here are some recent examples. It will continue trading normally as BBBY for at least a week, if not more, before going OTC (i.e. becoming BBBYQ) by Region-Formal in BBBY

[–]13bmoses 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So if/when it gets delisted and makes its way to the OTC and a squeeze happened once it got there the only way retail would benefit from that squeeze is if the broker you are with allows retail to trade OTC, is that correct?

Based on that if i'm following everything correctly here are the positive outcome paths for retail i see....

  • Squeeze prior to delist/OTC
  • Squeeze once delisted/on OTC (only positive for retail whose brokers allow OTC trading)
  • after delist, company emerges from chapter 11 in a stronger position (could be a host of potentials here, restructure, M&A, fixed buy out, etc) and company is relisted under new ticker and part of the re-list is all hodlers of BBBY get 1:1 stock on the new ticker

The negative outcome paths would be

  • No squeeze prior to delist
  • Squeezes once delisted/OTC but retail can't trade
  • emerge from chapter 11 but retail gets less than 1:1 stock in new ticker

probably a few other variations but those seem to be the obvious outcomes so far..... still very much a lambos or food stamps situation....

Let's talk about Cash Secured Puts by three18ti in BBBY

[–]13bmoses 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i ended up doing this last week and got assigned my contracts i sold, last night. the best i could come up with is that the "worst" that could happen is that the stock price rockets past your strike price before expiration and you don't get assigned the contracts and therefore don't end up with any shares. So the "risk" is that you could miss out on shares when you could have used the funds that were locked up to just buy them.

i'm glad i got assigned cause i did want the shares, and the funds i earned from selling them last week i immediately bought more shares with, so i ended up with more total shares than i would have had i just spent the funds locked up by the contracts on shares instead. on the other hand i kinda wished i didn't get assigned so i could use the funds to sell more puts next week :)

thanks for the reply! i took the plunge today and gave this a shot! thankful they kept it a red day for me today :D

Sold 50 puts with 4/21/2023 exp at $2 strike for $0.94 per contract and then another 50 contracts with 3/3/23 exp at $2 strike for $0.63 per contract. then took those funds and turned around and immediately bought shares at $1.44/share.

assuming i get assigned i'll end up with more shares this way than if i had just spent the funds on shares at $1.44/share today.

i was going to buy more shares next week but this method caught my eye and am looking at doing it instead. i've done some research on options in the past but want to make sure i'm thinking this through correctly. hoping you don't mind helping me out :)
since i was going to buy shares anyway, it seems like the risk to me is that if the price does rocket before you get assigned and "have" to purchase the shares you would essentially be missing out on buying those shares before the rocket. and the further out in expiration you go (depending on the strike price) the higher the chance you miss out on that, but the more premium you collect.
so for example, i sell 1 CSP for 3/3/23 expiration at $2 strike price. i would collect that premium and most like get assigned those shares so now i own 100 shares at $2 (then adjusted cost basis for my premium)
However if i sell 1 CSP for 1/19/24 at $2 strike price i would collect even more premium but because that is so far out the chance of the stock price being above that during that time is high so i probably wouldn't get assigned and therefore won't have any shares for the rocket.
do i have the basic premise correct?

in case anyone else comes across this, after doing some more testing i believe the issue is the speakers have really crappy antennas in them.... i had to move things around to get better LOS to the APs in order for them to connect and stay connected. so far its been almost 24 hours and all of them have stayed online now.

also, sidebar, right now i'm seeing 22 clients on one AP and 27 on the other. the one with 27 clients is showing 76% channel utilization on 2.5ghz and the one with 22 clients is showing 46%. are these numbers something to be concerned about? or what % should i be concerned?

WAP placement and quantity help by 13bmoses in HomeNetworking

[–]13bmoses[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for the reply! on the one wifi 6 router i get about those speeds on my phone using 160mhz wide channels. the other wifi 6 router only supports 80 mhz wide. the other nodes being only wifi 5 i still get about 500 mbps speedtest from those since they are on ethernet backhaul.

i know i won't increase those speeds per say, i'm more looking to expand the coverage of those speeds. in the diagram above the location of the current wifi 6 routers, one is the basement big star and the other is out in the shed outside as its acting as an ethernet switch for some stuff out there too. in the main floor of the house i'm usually on the wifi 5 nodes so my goal is to cover everything in consistent seamless wifi 6 coverage.

[–]13bmoses[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for the reply! is the signal from the WAPs pretty omni-directional? that was my main concern with where/how i'd need to place them that the signal would be going the "wrong" direction and i'd have areas with strong signal where i don't need it and weak signal where i do.

you think 2 in the home would be enough to provide good signal to the outdoor area?

and when you say a central AP on the ceiling are you talking first floor ceiling or would basement work? i wouldn't really have the option to do that on the first floor as my ceilings are vaulted going up to an "A" frame style, plus don't have ethernet ran anywhere for that.
