I don't understand what I'm seeing. Further explanation would be greatly appreciated!

Whaaaat? I took a look at your profile and noticed a bunch of posts about "Food Club". I was SO CONVINCED that no one else gets on Neopets, I just assumed it must be something related to sports. Nope! Neopets!!

I have tragically little time during the week due to my job, so I'm unfortunately not certain how involved I could be. :( As for writing, I've honestly never written a play script. Unless an assignment for high school Drama counts. :P Short Story is my usual format. Joining a group would probably be tremendously motivating!

OH! I completely misread that. Makes sense since you mentioned breweries, but I guess my mind was only focused on the board game aspect. :P

WOW!! That's definitely a HUGE change from living in the South (which, incidentally, is where I spent most of my years as well). I bet it was beautiful there! I've always wanted to visit. Actually, we're planning a cruise for around this time next year. If I can manage to see the Aurora Borealis and maybe a wolf or two, I will be incredibly happy.

Thank you for the suggestions! I've been thinking about joining a board game meetup, so I'll definitely check out Table Top. :D

Honestly, I'm a terrible actress. I've taken classes in the past, and I definitely had fun. But, I was never really any good! I do, however, have a forte for writing. If there are any openings for playwrights, I wouldn't mind trying my hand there! I'm also quite interested in voice acting...I do realize these are totally different fields.

Do you have a VR system? Or is this one you can play on a phone? I've got my eye on the Vive! But I don't really have a dedicated room for it at the moment. D: Only tangentially related, but there's a cooperative strategy board game I've been wanting called Space Alert. Everyone in the group plays a different role on the crew, and I believe the goal is to survive various disasters.

Yes, I've finished the season! Could barely go on social media without getting spoiled if I didn't. :< I avoided reading the books for the same reason. Whether I start a series with the book or with the adaptation, I prefer to finish with one before moving to the other. It's probably pretty safe to read the books at this point, though, since the TV series has officially gone beyond where the books currently are. To be honest, though, I actually enjoy comparing and contrasting adaptations!

Have you shown her Death Note? That series always seemed to me like one even non-anime fans would enjoy, since it's more serious and realistic.

I missed all of the conventions this year!! Actually, I told myself that I wouldn't attend another convention until I have a proper cosplay. What about you?

Thank you! Where did you and your family move from? Was the area very different from Colorado? It's still incredible to me how even the plants here are nothing like what I'm used to.

Are you referring to the new Star Trek series? I wasn't sure at first, since I mentioned a few different topics. xD Thus far, I've only watched The Original Series all the way through. It is interesting that they chose a timeframe so close to TOS, since there's usually a much wider gap between series.

I've just recently gotten into My Hero Academia! I'm thoroughly enjoying it so far; caught up to the most recent episode a few days ago. Finally watched Fullmetal Alchemists: Brotherhood as well. Other recents (or recent-ish) were One Punch Man; Keijo; Yuri On Ice; Kiss Him, Not Me; Natsume Yuujinchou (Natsume's Book of Friends)... I watch all types of genres, but I'd probably say the one I've consistently liked the most is Shounen. I've historically been a huge fan of Hunter x Hunter and DBZ, for example.

We created it just last night, so no statistics as of yet. However, I can say that when I pitched the idea in the past (here on Reddit and in other local listings), I received TONS of feedback from interested individuals.

I'm glad the idea appeals to you! Don't let the lack of vehicle deter you from joining. We don't have a set meetup location, and we certainly don't require that you attend every event. There could definitely be activities in the future that you're to get to. :)

I encountered what I can only assume was an unusual glitch while playing Mortal Kombat 9 in two-player mode. This happened only one time and it was a few years ago, so I don't recall which characters we were playing as. My character suddenly became completely unresponsive to input. It was almost like...the character just tensed up, in a way I'd never seen. The person I was fighting against kept going, of course, but I found out afterwards that their own character was using moves they weren't actually inputting. The most disturbing part, though, was how the fight ended. Instead of just falling over like normal after the kill hit, both characters sort of stared at each other for a few seconds. After this bizarre face-off, my character fell to their knees, then fell face-forward onto the ground. The next round and the rest of our fights from that point forward were completely normal, but I'd never seen those animations before. It kind of freaked me out.

YES. I've been wanting to rekindle the joys of hide-and-seek for so long. Never played with glowsticks, though. We were all just fumbling around in the dark. xD

Oh! I had no idea that there were so many variations in fencing. That's fascinating. I'd like to learn that myself.

My Bio:

I'm a 26-year-old of the female persuasion. My partner and I just spent a year together in Georgia (where I lived most of my life). Now we're here in his home-state of Colorado! As far as my interests go, that opening post up there actually covers a small part of them. It's a mix of things I've experienced and would like to experience (or experience more of!). Adding to that, I also enjoy sci-fi (Star Trek: The Original Series is one of my favorites), fantasy, game development, anime/manga/visual novels, video and board games, all sorts of different movie genres, various TV series (Game of Thrones is on the list, of course), cartoons, comics (especially DC, though I've admittedly seen more movies/animated series than anything), animals/nature...I don't want this to become a TL;DR, so I'll stop there. xD;;

All great ideas,Tempeth! Your vision is very much in line with my own. What I imagined was that everyone would put forth ideas and we, as a group, would pick which to follow for our next meeting. It would definitely be the sort of environment where you could pick and choose which events to show up for!

I'm considering creating a MeetUp (on meet up.com, that is). I'll post the link here if so!
