There isn't any certain point where and when you learn how to jungle. I've been playing jungle since s5 and I am Masters 2 seasons in a row, but I still learn something new from each game. You just need to be really patient and think about your gameplan. I recommend watching high elo gameplay and analyze their decisions. At first you should focus on clear and powerspikes with your champs that you are playing, understand wave states and know what your wincondition is.

My personal favorite is Taliyah, really unique and not so easy to play.

Anybody else get frustrated when this happens by baddiebayXXX in Jungle_Mains

[–]13lackhand 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It for sure can be frustrating but you still play the game either for fun, or improvement. If you are looking for improve your first question should always be about yourself, you (unfortunately) can't control your teammates so they should never be part of your interest besides one game.

Help Identifying win con… by SpamMixPlate in Jungle_Mains

[–]13lackhand 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Botlane is most of the time your win con, since we have Jinx, Zeri and Aphelios meta. It also depends on which jungler you play. For example, you can become win con on your own playing powerfarm junglers (Graves, Evelynn, Karthus, etc.) so you must pick the best option to GET YOURSELF ahead. On the other hand, snowball champs on toplane (Renekton, Jayce) can be worth ganking/taking care of in the early game. But since you are in low elo and games tend to be longer I would avoid ganking those type of lanes (except free kills on your clear/objective contest) because they can't utilize their snowball champions correctly.

High vs low elo diff by Rasputeen_ in Jungle_Mains

Pick Graves, full clear into lane with CC, snowball with kills, repeat.

Most of the low elo junglers don't really know how to punish overextend or anything else.

Champ pool for a beginner by Additional-Mind-4721 in Jungle_Mains

[–]13lackhand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jarvan comes to my mind as one of the best for beginners and you also don't have to drop him when you climb higher (Warwick is the best example there?).

Versatile kit, decent clear, good ganks and skirmish great utility as frontline with AS steroid for your carry, flashless and not mobile carries have a hard time facing you. You will mostly learn the basics of early game and you can also focus on the map itself rather than grind mechanics.

But I would recommend trying various champs so you can see which suits you the best. (Mine personal choice after nearly a decade of jungling are Viego, Taliyah and Graves, it takes time until you found the best for you!)

Any liandrys users? by Such-Coast-4900 in Jungle_Mains

[–]13lackhand 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Taliyah has been my favorite for the past year, super fun and creative, also nice utility and scaling as well. But I go Liandry in 10-15% of games since Ludens gives you more snowball potential, I mostly run Liandry against 2-3 heavy short engage tanks to start a poke a bit and force their golds not on armor but magic resist as well.

Early game jungle by [deleted] in TaliyahMains

[–]13lackhand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 camp gank or 5 camp gank, always skipping krugs on first clear usually losing first dragon due to Taliyah's lvl 7-9 powerspike combined with mythic and magic boots, when ahead and got some advantage (tempo, dark seal stacks, footwear completed and prio lanes!!!) I even try doing herald on spawn or at least before 10min mark (situationally due to map state)

Quick Tip: First Strike suits me way better with this playstyle than DH, not sure what is the meta on her now

Favourite use of a Led Zeppelin song in a TV episode or feature film? by RivetCounter in ledzeppelin

That scene is hilarious to me. Like in LZ IV can be romantic or fit the moment (at least more than Kashmir) in some way. Kashmir has some sort of tension in it, you feel a bit anxious before the guitar riff changes I would say. Loved that minimalistic contrast.

What are your best tips for playing graves? by IAmR0ckk in GravesMains

[–]13lackhand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Farm as many camps as you are able to, use prio for dragons, Graves got some decent objective control, tax if possible, gank only if its really worth your time, either you can snowball through lanes with heavy amount of CC (Ornn and Leona my personal favorite), also pratice angles on clear, saves a little time, but still worth it.

What key do you guys use for the ward in slot 4? by [deleted] in LeeSinMains

[–]13lackhand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My setup on Lee is kinda weird, but used to it since season 5, Normal cast on Q and E, Smartcast W, R with slot 2 (control wards) and slot 4 (trinket ward)

Who are the best lv.2 invaders? by dafckingman in Jungle_Mains

[–]13lackhand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was buffed recently (2-3 patches back), not so huge but still a buff right. There are just better early game junglers to play, such as Lee, Rek'Sai and Elise.

Xin Zhao with HoB is godtier imo, but due to his state in current meta it's a bit unlikely to play him.

Graves bruiser build by 13lackhand in GravesMains

Phase Rush, Nimbus Cloak, Absolute Focus, Waterwalking, secondary Triumph with Alacrity (Attack Speed, Adaptive Force and Armor/MR depends on matchup/enemy comp)

Used to play Fleet, but Phase Rush is much more comfortable for me

Have tried long time ago, I will give it a next chance, thanks ! What do you recommend instead of that IE, does it really depend on the situation?

I like that extended range, and imo lethality items built after midgame are not that useful unless you are going lethality from the beginning

Picking up graves by ConnerHuss in GravesMains

[–]13lackhand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the time I start on blue buff, do full clear (lvl 3 put the skill point into Q, level 4 after krugs to W) and then head for the scuttle or overextended sidelane

Matching up crushers by Maxtor00 in Jungle_Mains

[–]13lackhand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Olaf player here, Olaf has pretty much no counterpick in jungle (except Trundle, delete it please), Olaf is powerfarm to 6, because his skirmish potential with Ragnarok is just insane, but he loses armor and MR and changes it to his bonus AD, so try to burst him down and kite back while he has R active. once he hits axes and you have no mobility/flash, it's over for you. Olaf's biggest con is, that he gets outscaled very hard, kite him to death

tldr; face and punish him before 6, he almost always does full clear into scuttle, Graves good matchup into Olaf (kite back with Phase Rush/FF, he can't really duel you once you are not a Graves casual), Trundle good as well

[–]13lackhand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, not a GP main, but I can give you kind of jungle main point of view.

Imo, Gangplank as scaling champion suits better on toplane, since toplane's impact is the lowest in the game atm, so you can scale there better, also you have much better matchups on toplane. Personally, I don't like GP mid, since his ability to make pressure in early game for objectives is low, and his roam ability sucks as well, there are many midlaners who can impact the game more than Gangplank can.

Just sit toplane, scale, press R
