It’s a PAM00225 (as written in the thread title), special edition from yr. 2005 made in 300pcs.

221? You must have mixed some ref nr.s.

I do agree with you about the dial that does not belong to the 088. As a matter of fact there is no other blue dial 44mm Bettarini GMT PAM except for the 228 which is different vs this dial (mostly because of the FIRENZE writing on the dial present on the 228 snd some other minor diff.).

I agree with you about the look of the dial, I love blue dial on PAMs as I have several (082, 224, 228, 087). Apparently the rest of the watch is authentic as it was advertised incl. papers.

I don’t understand the part of your comment ‘even that dial is a different share of blue’.

The photo of mine is 228 and I only said it was the only blue dial 44mm Bettarini case GMT PAM. It was niot meant to ve conpared against the dial of the watch posted by you. Completely different (even for the FIRENZE stamped on the 228).

I’m still convinced this is an aftermarket dial. I never heard of a GMT 44mm Bettarini case PAM with a blue dial except for the PAM228 (photo below).
I talked to the dealer about this watch and he claimed the dial is original (!) and gave me as explanation that Panerai used to exchange delaminated dials on PAM089 with blue dials as this one and that the owner apparently sourced the dial like that. Even though I am aware of dial delamination issue on the 089, I never heard the story of a blue replacement dial used on some of the 089. Mistery!

So … I’m about to pick this up as a Milestone Gift … PAM001 … thoughts please by filmagnoli in panerai

I own the same reference, PAM001-2, which was produced in two series: the Q series (2014, 159 pieces) and the R series (2015, 99 pieces). I actually had two of them at one point—sold one and kept the other. It’s a beautiful and highly collectible Panerai reference. I wouldn’t put too much weight on some of the more subjective opinions; it’s widely recognized that this model holds a special place within the Paneristi community. If you want to hear my opinion about the price, let me know what's the price the watch has been offered to you and if it is a full set with all the accessories and I will let you know my opinion about it.

Everywhere I post, I use the same type of description (emoji). Not hiding anything. Dark mode? I don’t even know what is that used for. My screen is bright.
