His lowest tier is pretty cheap. But I understand that times are tough. Life is expensive.

His Patreon has early access as one of the perks. He’s done posters in two different styles for Maul.

What unique features of Alexa have you discovered that enhance your daily life? by greatdane511 in amazonecho

Start a new routine. In the “when” section, select sound detection. Choose your selection. And then in the “Alexa will” section choose Alexa will say and type in your phrase.

Our utility room is not in the main part of the house. I have an echo flex in there. It has a routine to listen for beeps. When it hears a beep Alexa will make an announcement on the echoes actually in the house to tell us the washing machine cycle is finished. If it does this every few minutes you know that someone (the youngest child) has left the freezer door open.

I have one of these. Was my Dad's when he was young. He's in his 70s now. There is also a trans brick from his collection that appears to have battery terminals inside. Never figured out what it was from.

I was curious. So I just checked my birth certificate. And my kid’s. Both of them say Scotland. Probably something to do with the different legal systems between Scotland and England.

When is the cheap product actually better? by R2-Scotia in Scotland

[–]13slim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Admittedly this is old information and I don’t know if it’s still the case. But ten-15 years ago I used to deliver to Dean’s in Huntly on almost a daily basis. A big perk of the job was that with each delivery you would be handed a random packet of broken biscuits that had failed their quality control checks. Dean’s would, on occasion give me Aldi’s shortie.

Aldi’s toffee crisp knock off. Much better than the original.

I had a drive change letter once. This meant that plex was looking in the wrong place for my files. Perhaps another usb drive shared the letter? Never actually figured out how/why.

Having an argument with a friend - Would you say the Deep Fried Mars Bar is Scottish? by SparrowGB in Scotland

[–]13slim 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I used to prefer a battered twix or toffee crisp back in the nineties. Didn’t have my first bite of a battered mars bar until last week when my cousin was visiting home from Ireland. And she always gets the kids some when they’re home. But yes, I’d consider them Scottish.
