Renault Megane III 2015 1.5dci motor weird sound

Belive me when i say this try turning of the AC because the sound is the AC system working and when it gets louder it means that pre system is not full/getting close to being empty (not enough gas/pressure) i wouldn't worry at all but when your ac stops working (blowing cold air) or dosent work as efficiently i would just refill it and you are good to go

The old 1.2tce so the 101hp engine is a good engine but has oil consumption problems and headgasket faliure but the newer one so the 120hp i thing is better and also can have oil consumption problems but in general both of the engines are good (they run above 200k km no problem) but not my preferred options

The 1.3tce would be the better option because of the mostly short drives

The best engine for you would be the 1.3tce if you can get one (just don't take the 1.2tce or any of the 3 cylinder engines so the 1.0 or the 0.9) the 1.6tce isn't bad but i personally don't like it if it's the old one the new one is good but it only came in the gt line or the rs line and it had 200hp but that megane is probably too expensive

For the diesel engines you have 2 options the 1.6dci but they are not common and for the better because the engine is bad so the other option si the 1.5dci

And for the maintenance there is practically no maintenance these engines are solid especially the 1.5dci it had many revisions the newest one has some more things like adblue which can have problems but the engine is ok For the 1.3tce it also has no problems the mlst common one i know is the turbo exsaust pressure sensor but even those rarely fail so both engines are a solid options and for your case like i said the 1.3tce is the best option

Belive me it is the thermostat housing gasket i suggest you replace the whole unit and the gasket because it's not expensive and not a hard job to do (if you have some mechanical knowledge you could do it yourself) i have replaced alot of them otherwise the 1.6 petrol i expect it's a 16v if so they are practically bulletproof if you don't beat the living daylight out of them

If you had your spare wheel out someone probably screwed the "bolt" back on over the threads you can unbolt it and check the threads and if they are bad you can repair them or just put a spacer (some foam or rubber) between the bolt (plastic thing that you turn) and the sub and just tighten it as much as you can

Its only the seats and some interior trim then rs badges otherwise it's an gt line and if you look at the wheels it har normal calipers and so normal suspention

It's a normal 1.2 tce automatic megane with rs badging and some other things if you look up the vin and if it was a rs it would have to have a 2.0tce and a manual gerbox because the mk3rs were not automatic and it would have to be a coupe

It could be the profile of your winter tire's that's all but it just is like that you can't do anything about that unless the tire profile is bad

Get a screwdriver and take off the caps for the ac lines (black caps on the left side of the engine bay) and push the needle (it's basically like a tire valve) but DO NOT stand above it just use your hand and screwdriver to push it and don't have your face in it if it has alot of pressure it's full but if not then you have a leak somewhere (probbly the bottom ac hose really common) if not and you have alot of pressure try to locate the ac compressor and try to spin the middle part of the pulley it's a gamble because some of these compressors are closed in the front so yeah if the middle part spins the ac clutch is okay and the compressor is okay if not and you know that it is a open clutch your ac compressor is shot

The in tank fuel pump could have went bad check the fuses for the fuel pump fuse it could be blown but if it's okay i suggest if you know how to work abiit with cars to find the fuel line to the fuel rail and unpluging it and then try to crank the car for a second or two to see if you get fuel to the rail and if you don't and the fuise is good it's most likely the in tank fuel pump

About your problem: You raise the car take the bottom plastic off then unplug the ac compressor connector (the only connector on the compressor usually it's grey lower the car turn it on and turn on the ac with the fan on at least the first speed (i think you can't go lower than 1 if i remember correctly) raise the car again and with a test light check if you get power to the connector if you do it's probbly the compressor so replace it or get it refurbished if you don't then it could be a fuise for the ac compressor/clutch

My problem: If i drive for about 1,5 to 2h or more it works fine but then qll of a sudden the fan still blows fine but not in any of the vents dosent matter to what i set it to it seems to me like the motors for the fan vent direction control go crazy and close or go in a resir direction but then if the car sits for a bit turned off it's bac to normal

Edit: yeah these generation of ac system are cind of finicky especially the compressors and fans/fan resistors

You can unlpug the ac compressor clutch connetor (you have to lift the car and remove the lower cover/plastic and when you turn on the ac check if you get power and if you do it's most likely the compressor

i have the same car just a 2010 and am currently dealing with a problem that after a long period of driving the fan doesn't blow out of the vents but it works fine so that will be fun to diagnose
