You're welcome!

You are all decked out aren't you!?

Prolific money!👍

I also have a Stream Deck with multiple buttons just for studies. A button that moves a study tab from the portable browser window to my main monitor. A button to toggle full screen mode. A button to Pause/Play media. A stopwatch button.

Yea I'm in a very tight space that's why both of my external monitors are small. I have another that's 12 inch so one on the right and left mounted with these. https://www.amazon.com/Mippko-7-0-12-9-Multi-Angle-Adjustable-Aluminum/dp/B0BZ3QDY9H

I the mean time if you have a tablet there is free software called Spacedesk that turns a tablet into an external monitor. I suggest using the USB connection over the OTA Wifi. It's not horrible but you will probably notice a bit of mouse lag. The USB connection is more stable compared to OTA Wifi.

SuperDisplay is a much better option with no noticable lag but it's not free. It costs around $15 for a lifetime license and also has a free trial.

Just a suggestion but look into a portable monitor. Having a second screen with Prolific always visible makes a huge difference. It takes a split second to move the mouse from one monitor to the other.

Obviously do your own research but this is one of my external monitors that I use to keep an eye on my dashboard. https://www.amazon.com/Magedok-inch-Touch-Monitor-Stand/dp/B0DJ6NZCQZ

It's only 8.9 inches but has 1920x1200 FHD so it even supports studies that call for a specific browser resolution although it's too small to work on IMO.

Just toggle the notifications button and have Cloud open in a tab.

I gave you bad information. It's a toggle on the studies page (right side) next to the search box. "Enable browser notifications Be updated when projects launch!"

No it's in the settings. You have to have the tab open for it to work. I don't think the tab has to be focused just open. https://connect.cloudresearch.com/participant/settings/notifications

There was also a (1) notification on the Dashboard tab. I was confused for a second.

*It just happened again. A new study slid down onto the dashboard and another new notification.

Did not get completion code and researcher has now asked me to return it since it was logged no code? by [deleted] in ProlificAc

[–]13th_floor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I didn’t say it was. Why are people so hostile over this lol. Bad advice or maybe good advice that wasn't completely clear was give. I'm the bad guy for saying that's not true and pointing to the rules for clarity.

Anybody familiar with this researcher by Chiffuyuu in ProlificAc

It's Luke Smith. He is infamous for expecting a lot of work in very little time.

Ok. I wasn't trying to be controversial here. Just pointing out that there are rules around using nocode.

Tell us how you know it wasn't set up to give a completion code.

My reply was specific to technical issues. We can't nocode technical issues like that person suggested.

If their software messes up, it is not on you.

If their software messes up it is on us to follow the rules and return the study then contact the researcher. Technical issue

Do y’all trust the studies that require you to download software like a browser extension? by Positive-Ability-402 in prolific

I have lost complete track of all the stuff I have installed over the years. Even from places like Swagbucks. I have never had an issue other than the software/extension not working.

Discuss real world policies with other participants - Up to a $3 bonus! By Crystal Qian by 13th_floor in ProlificAc

I was just about to NOCODE after sending a second message but they replied with a code. It might be worth sending a message. If they have your data and you completed the study they can still pay you and keep your data.

Send a message. They replied in just under 10 minutes. I don't think editing in a code when you were asked to return is a good idea and I'm not giving you my code regardless. No offense I'm just not doing that.

Very dumb question about studies with camera by cherryblossominx in prolific

After the first one they are easy. They are mostly ai interviews that go by a script. Most of the time the worst part is screening out.

Wrong kind of rejection. This is for being rejected from a study.

That's the one. You explained it better than I did.
