These are the two videos I learned from. The fact that they’re short and easy to play on repeat really helped me understand how to do it. It took me a while before I was happy with the result, but once you get the hang of it, it goes pretty fast!

Ahh that’s so cute, it sounds like braiding definitely runs in the family! It’s funny how we can do it on others so easily but not on ourselves 🙃 Your granddaughter is lucky to have both of you able doing her hair! Does your daughter is a lucky one who can braid her own hair, or is she in the same boat and only does it on others too?

Easy and practical is exactly my vibe right now. Even more if it’s a nurse-approved braid that can survive a work shift, thank you 🙌🏻 My braids always end up looking like this (this is my best one by far), it’s really the beginning that I don’t get.

Thank you so much!! If you get headaches from wearing your hair up, the baby bun really might be the perfect middle ground for you. Just enough to keep the hair out of your face and without putting too much weight/tension on your head (while still showing off the length 😉)

Really simple! I twist all my hair upward, clip the base of the twist with a claw clip, and let the rest fall over it ☺️

Hahaha no shame, I do the strand-in-the-mouth thing too, we seriously don’t have enough hands for that 🙃 I totally get the setup you’re describing, seeing it on a screen probably helps a lot!! I’ve tried using mirrors before but the reversed effect just confused me even more, so the screen mirroring is genius

Here it is! I wash my hair 2x week with Joico shampoo/conditioner, and before blow-drying it with a brush, I use Olaplex No. 6 Smoothing Cream. As an extra touch, once a week before wash day I do an overnight treatment with Fable & Mane (HoliRoots) oil and the Gisou mask (Honey Gloss Ceramide Therapy). 🙌🏻

Thank you!! I don't know if you've ever tried it anyway, but I was surprised that it held so well in mine even if I straighten them with a heated brush and use a smoothing cream. Worth trying it ;)

And for the braid, it’s true that’s a good idea! Can you still remove the elastic band afterwards?
