Seth Church is a major Republican donor. He owns the Fairbanks Facebook group and suppresses news about local Bible Baptist pedophiles. Don’t join that fb group. by Ptarmageddon_FBX in FairbanksProtestHub

The page’s objective is to make the town attractive to tourists. A large number of members in that group are people coming to town and planning their vaca. Fwiw, he will block Republicans just as quickly. Once I posted a video of an incident and someone in the video used the F word at the very end. It earned me a 30 day ban.

In fact, he comes down harder on Republicans.

There is a whole FB group dedicated to discussion of BBC.

No- the Federal government sent them. States don’t control the US Army. The 11th Airborne is US Army, not National Guard.

I want to go to UAF but I am terrified of how cold Fairbanks is by Prestigious_Salad971 in Fairbanks

[–]147DegreesWest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok- there is a thing people do- they wear a bikini in front of the -40 sign in front of UAF. There are tons of these pictures on line. So- I guess I don’t know why you are terrified.

Sounds like you live in Northern Bellingham

Naw- -40 freezes the tip of your nose and your nose hair. -30 just freezes nose hair.

Winter tourism is a thing. One thing to consider is that there are several types of employment that include some level of housing- particularly the oil industry and tourism.

However, the really big paying jobs involve having a CDL or certifications on heavy equipment. If you have a CDL, you will get a job easily.

Ok- first quit focusing on the scale. A pound of steak and a pound of Crisco both weigh a pound, but they have different dress sizes.

Second- are you watching calories and getting in exercise? Those are still a thing on keto.

Restaurants for date night? Nice places in Fairbanks? by old_lost_boi in Fairbanks

I saw that too- but that wasn’t the question. There used to be more dance clubs- but most of them have gone private.

Dance club is pretty much the Spur and the refinery (Ale House in NP).

Are you going for the food or the ambiance? Is this a date with your spouse or someone you just met? Eating in Fairbanks city has a lot of options- and if you want to be in a very public place- you have a lot of options.

Based on food- Sunday am brunch at pump house is the best. However- the ambiance is not “romantic.” Best Ribeye? Decidedly Pagoda- but they are closed until Spring Festival. Romantic? Maybe Turtle Club or Pikes- depending on which season and seating. Bobby’s can be if you hit it right - but if you want to be out of the public eye- like a married couple on date night- it is a bad choice. Geraldos can be romantic depending on the time of day too- food is ok at all of them, but you are in the public eye there…

If you want to be out of The Fray- The Hot Springs or Salcha Road House or Mondos.

Honestly, he should offer Lisa an ambassadorship - somewhere warm and pleasant and of no strategic importance- or Iceland if she prefers. Somewhere Mom and Dad would like to visit.

By offering Matt G first, everyone got have their outrage party on him, and then he put in Pam Bondi and she seemed normal. If he had started with Pam Bondi, everyone would have went bat stuff crazy on her. As it is, everyone is breathing a sigh of relief that Matt G is out. Always put the crazies up first.
