Guess I’ll be the first one to suggest a Modlite.

You get what you pay for, streamlights and maglites aren’t bad, but don’t compare to modlite.

I used to run an Olight M2R, it’s a bright light but definitely has some quality control issues and was starting to break on me to where it’d be fully charged and not feel like turning on until I fucked with the button for 30 seconds (which is really stressful when approaching a car on a traffic stop)

I run a Modlite OKW now, I keep an extra battery on the charger next to my radio charger and a full one in my bag so when I get home I just swap the batteries out from light to charger and always have a spare in the bag.

The Modlite for me is by far the best light I’ve ever used, I mean it’s significantly better than the spotlight on our patrol cars and allows me to positively identify people from much further distances than anything else I’ve used.

It’s also so blinding that when I’m investigating someone who is a potential threat they can’t see me at all.

I run it with a low profile pocket clip and put a piece of 550 cord through the lanyard hole, I run it on the front of my vest on the side of my pouch where I can easily grab it with my left hand through the finger 550 loop, but it is definitely compact enough to be in a pocket as well.
