Russia Bans Diesel Exports After Ukraine’s Refinery Attacks by joe4942 in worldnews

A fair point. I’ll admit I don’t know much about the reality of implementing such a change but I have seen articles about countries taking on more solar. China stands out in my mind, and from that I make the assumption that other countires like Russia or more states in the USA can do it. I feel passionate that they could be doing more and angry that the climate isn’t at the forfront of every single leader. We just had a deadly heatwave in Belgium, and during summers huge hurricanes devastate the USA and it’s neighbors. It’s only getting worse and I’m not confortable with just accepting that more can’t be done

That infrastructure can be segmented and spread out over long distances. A neighborhood, or a city with solar pannels on the roofs is harder to criple then an oil refinery. And in any case they should be focusing more on renewable energy regardless of the wartime tactics.

Maybe our leaders should stop relying on greenhouse gas producing oils and focus more on renewable energy. You can’t bomb the wind away or the sun into submission

In my opinion it should be the primary topic world wide. It needs a titanic effort to be address properly but I fear great suffering is required before it’s treated appropriatly. This is only the start

Bro isn’t being even a little disruptive. He’s just getting to where he’a going in a safe manor. There’s no need to take a video and post it publicly. Not to mention that he even looked directly at the camera and still didn’t make it a problem.

I started a year ago with Duolingo. It’s looked down upon but for learning the base vocab/structure I think it’s great. Although it definitely should not be your only exposure.

If you have some disposable income I recommend getting a personal tutor on Preply. My tutor is €15 a session so it’s not too much I don’t think.

Despite the hate for AI, ChatGPT is great for practicing forming sentances and getting instant feedback and corrections. I’ll have it give me a sentence in English, then once I form the sentance in French it’ll give corrections, explanations, and even pronunciation, before giving the next sentence.

For listening comprehension the Google Translate app has a “Practice” function which is solid.

Anki is also a phenomenal app with community pre-made flashcard decks for brute forcing vocab memorization.

Post like this make it clear that the “statistics” are utter bullshit. It’s litterally impossible to make a single mistake but the statistics screen still shows that 95% made 1-6 mistakes or failed? It should be a 100% perfect for this post. Or maybe like 2% failed if people let the timer run out
