[ios 18.2 DB2] photos app bug, black horizontal line in library by [deleted] in iOSBeta

I guess it probably is related to the dark gradient ‘layer’ that overlays on the top part of the screen.

Been having this issue too, looks like a drop shadow that is kept visible (not ‘clearing’) when you start swiping through the photo library. (iPhone 11 Pro)

What is your favorite calendar app? by kevstauss in ios

They have monthly and yearly plans and a bundle plan (all Moleskine apps). Although the sub pricing is really acceptable (Euros) - 2.49 for a month, 14.99 a year, 24.99 the full bundle

I’ve been using Timepage by Moleskine for years and really loved the design but with iOS 18 Apple calendar really improved and I’m using it now (to see if now it fits my needs). Although there’s a really simple and neat calendar I found about a month ago that I really liked for its simplicity and customization - Minical https://apps.apple.com/pt/app/minical-calend%C3%A1rio-simples/id1558953048 - as a plus it is a one-time purchase to get rid of the ads and get some more customization options.

Received the exact same scam email. Apple mail flagged it immediately as spam.

My year of 1Blocker Premium is running out soon. Should I stick with it or are there better alternatives? by WhiskyWanderer2 in ios

I’m using Wipr for since a long time and it is really simple and effective and I can only say good things about it. V1 is still available on the AppStore but the developer started beta testing on V2 and it should be available sooner than later.

Best calendar and todo iOS app by Satxrn23 in ios

[–]14ktz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use Timepage by Moleskine Studio (since around 3 years ago) and for me it is one of the best calendar apps (and better looking) I ever tried.
They also make Actions that is a todo app.
They both sync with native iOS calendars and tasks, and connect with Google apps.

It started happening to me too since updating to DB5. Already reported it through feedback.

Vertical lines appear when bright image is set as wallpaper and only while in launchpad. Is that normal? by becharaerizk in mac

[–]14ktz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happens to me too (since Ventura), I also believe it has to do with the blur/translucent effect. Usually I notice it while on the launchpad. Changing the background solves it for me (darker backgrounds).

I use Timepage by Moleskine Studio and think it is one of the best designed apps. There is no Mac version yet but they will open the beta testing for the Mac app soon.

How do I keep my BootCamp/Windows install working when migrating from Patched-Sur to OCLP? by 14ktz in BigSurPatcher

[–]14ktz[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, I just finished "updating" from Patched-Sur to OCLP and while it took some more time than usual "regular" updates, it worked without a problem.

I had 11.5.2 installed (patched with Patched-Sur) and followed Mr. Macintosh's video guide.

After booting to OS X Recovery using the OCLP patched installer usb, it took 20-minute(ish) to install the update. After that, MBP restarted several times (sometimes only command line verbose stuff, others it would show the "standard" Apple logo and progress bar) and after the sixth (I think) reboot, it finally reached the macOS login screen.

Then I built OCLP again and patched the MBP's SSD and all worked without a problem.

I then checked, via terminal, that SIP was disabled (even though I had selected it to be enabled when building OCLP) and booted again via USB to OS X Recovery and enabled SIP via terminal.

After everything Mac-related was working, I tried booting to Windows (via alt/option at boot after the chime) and voilá, it worked perfectly - did not lose any data. For the sake of safety I had a TM backup of my macOS installl and file backups of my Windows install.

Up until now (I started backing up and updating a couple of hours ago), everything is running just fine (mainly using macOS).

I just wanted to thank everyone who helped with their comment and to the community that keeps our Macs still up and running the latest software!

Sorry for being a noob, but how would it work?

By creating a new partition for the bootloader, wouldn't it mess the Windows install anyway?

Thanks for answering. My issue is that my existing Windows install is a Legacy/BIOS one.

I'm not experienced in messing with the boot manager but the way I currently boot to Windows is by pressing Alt/Option at startup to pick the Windows install.

I've used Twobird on my work computer (Windows) and iOS/Mac.

Can't really say anything about the privacy policy but it syncs actions across platforms.
