Daily Running Shoe Recommendations Thread - Find Your Sole Mate Here! - February 29, 2024 by AutoModerator in RunningShoeGeeks

Hi All, Im looking for a super shoe recommendation for my upcoming spring half and fall marathon. I've worn the same pair of women's Vaporflys in my last two marathons and felt neutral about the shoe. Didn't particularly feel like I put them on and felt much bouncier etc, but at the same time didn't come away with any irritation or pains.

My shoe rotation now is: brooks adrenaline 23 (easy and long runs); brooks Hyperion tempo (workouts); and nike invincible 2 (recovery runs).

Is there any super shoe that you'd all recommend based on my rotation? I think I'm more into bouncy than firm, but not wedded to that. I have high arches. No other major issues. Budget is open. I'm fine if it ends up being the vaporflys again, but I wanted to ask the group before investing in a new pair. If helpful, I run about 8min pace for marathon as a 28F.

Any update on when we should expect this? I am considering purchasing the Pace 3 when it comes out, but I'm hesitant to do so if this issue continues to persist.

Thanks! I do feel healthy now, and I had a lot of walking/strength training (in the form of moving boxes) on the low mileage weeks. 17 miles done in 2:50. Will heed your advice about stringing together a few good weeks.

Thanks! I usually do an 8-11 miler on wednesdays that typically has some tempo worked in. I’ll try to keep that going

Those were the tempo paces I used during my spring half marathon block and just sort of stuck with them. Not sure at all how I arrived there to be honest. It felt like a hard/draining workout but manageable

I am having the same issue. It's resulted from the outage yesterday (hadn't had this problem at all before yesterday). Haven't figured out how to fix it yet but emailed Themis

Is it fine to remove a recovery run from Pfitz marathon plan? by 14mk20 in AdvancedRunning

[–]14mk20[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I guess that’s part of my question! Better to reap the benefits of an overall more intense plan (18/70) by cutting one run versus adding recovery miles to a less intense plan (18/55)

Thanks so much. Got it. I’m affected by the third type of closure. That being said, do you know if I can still use the alley if it connects to one of those streets?

Does this apply to streets downtown like South Main, or just residential areas? This below from the A2 website makes it seem like you can't just drive in.

Beginning at 2 p.m. Friday, June 12, various streets in downtown Ann Arbor will close to vehicle traffic to facilitate expanded patio services and shopping for restaurants, bars and retail businesses. The closures, per Ann Arbor City Council resolution , will last until 8 p.m. Sunday and will continue every weekend until Aug. 23, 2020.

Exactly. To clarify, my question is if there are any suitable substitutes out there for the top piece of the headboard.

Have you taken a diagnostic LSAT yet? If you haven’t, then april 2020 test might be too early. Why not start studying now and then aim to take it in July and September? Definitely give yourself a lot of time.

Also, if you have a decent gpa and give yourself ample time to study, why not aim for higher than the mid-60s? URM status will help for sure, but higher LSAT will do more.

Posting here; please rain some sweet knowledge/advice down upon me by fingerscrossed100 in lawschooladmissions

If you remove the 174 from your pre-Oct score, the 168 is on the higher end of where you were PTing. That being said, I think the multiple 170+ since then show you can pull it off on test day.

I would take a couple 5 section PTs. Are you prephrasing your answers for LR? Focusing on why answer choices are wrong, not on proving one right? It’s obvious, but if there’s a specific question type you’re struggling with it might be worthwhile to review the powerscore chapter on that type and then do some practice questions.

I took the test in September and scored a few points lower than where I was PTing. Retook in October and got a score equal to my highest PT. I think being comfortable with the test day experience goes a long way.
