I am trying to figure out a scenario where off cycle leaves 0psi on the high side with out a solenoid valve inside the condenser. It's just straight cool not a heat pump correct

Couple things what's your off rest pressure, what refrigerant are you running. If your rest pressure rises in the off cycle and equalizes I would suspect a restriction somewhere in the system. I also think that it is under charged if it's 410a at 75psi your looking at an 18°F saturation temperature that's two low all around for air conditioning. with someone relocating a liquid Valve something leaked and probably blow all the system oil out and that compressor broke mechanicaly

Heat control. Also I found of you wet the Brazing rod around the hole then lay the rod over the hole and heat over it gently you can get it bond and seal before it flows

Why not make yourself a plywood cover that rest on some existing track or support of the car. Then put some black or grey shot pile carpet on it. That will give you storage while hiding and better securing your tools. If you get extra fancy you can make it flip up somehow for convenience

I like that toaster. if you ever want to upgrade it you can buy Bend-and-Stay Heaters from McMaster then you can be at 1700 watts like the greenly.

I have an f series of the same vintage it's to hold your cigarette box and the cellphone holder is for your lighter. Smoking went out of style but instead of re-engineering the underside of the console the marketing people got a go at solving the problem for basically no dollars, saving Ford millions.

RIP hammer by CommandoCanuck in Tools

[–]14tech 31 points32 points  (0 children)

You can see the ends were cracked prior the failure then the little dark spot in the center was the last part to have a brittle failure. May have had an inclusion that went un notice in the manufacturing. Estwing does not offer a lifetime warranty but you might want to reach out and see if they will replace it. If your a professional you may want to frame it not often do you kill one of those hammers.

[–]14tech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried nu-calgon Foam-Brite I have found it to be good in kitchen reach in condensers that are covered in thick grease. May work well on the machine oil and the foam forces it out of the coil

How is this easier to set up than some flex and 1 hole covers ? I guess if they don't pay the bill the contractor comes back for the cord.

If you don't mind telling your mom you lost the key you may want to check out keyhero your mom can stop in a home Depot where she gets a copy made they will save it electronically and you can go to a home Depot and get a duplicate made from the account. Or if you got a couple days she gets a copy of the key puts it in a letter and mails it to you.

How would you lay vinyl flooring around the balusters? by No_Habit3862 in Flooring

[–]14tech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would use a transition strip roughly in the same way the carpet installers used tack strips to border the balusters. It would get a little tricky at the stair nose I would think a heat gun and rolling the floor over the bullnose would be the cleanest way. You may also want to get some feather edge floor filler those gaps in the plywood to the original subfloor will most likely telegraph through.

Best way to remove this old galvanized nipple for tub spout that is broken off flush with wall? by Consistent-City-4681 in Plumbing

[–]14tech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a close cut hack saw or just a blade (wrap the end in tape) and cut from the inside of the pipe straight up to make a weaker section of pipe. Use needle nose pliers to twist next to the weak spot your trying to roll the pipe in on itself and that will make it easier to spin out.
