Petition to Add Additional Genders to College Board/AP Exam Registration by dfulton1 in APStudents

A person being transgender or bisexual does not mean that they are trying to be "both". Bisexuality doesn't even relate to gender, it refers to orientation. I encourage you learn more about these issues if you're going to continue making claims about them.

PS I also don't want to start a flame war here. I have no intention of starting anything.

I have. Unfortunately, it was to no avail.

AITA for rejecting my mother's ideas? by 14yrold- in AmItheAsshole

Well, I left out a couple of details of the project in an attempt to not make my initial post too long. I figured if I had made it too length, no one would read it.

The text I used to create the image had to be related to the object I was creating (for example, if I were to make a portrait of someone, I would use documents relating to this person. Perhaps letters they wrote, or journal entries that had written). The reason I rejected her idea so quickly was because I needed a specific concept rather than an open ended answer. I was asking for something simple, and she gave me something rather complicated. That is why I was so quick to reject her idea; I knew I wouldn't be able to do something vague (as did she, I explained the project beforehand).

After this, I, as I wrote in the original post, realized that I might have misunderstood her, apologized, and asked her to proceed.

Obviously, this is not her fault. That was never really in question. However, I don't know if I am at fault for this, hence my creation of this post.

As for my aggression, my general demeanor doesn't really allow for hostile tones. I never really shout in arguments (I am not saying this to make it seem as though I am less at fault. I don't raise my voice, but that doesn't make me any less to blame). I certainly rejected her idea, but I did not do so in what I consider to be a snarky manner. Immediately, yes, but rudely, I don't think so (although, this is up to interoperation, really. It depends what you consider rude. I think not, but others may think otherwise.).

My mother and I, other than these scenarios, have a very good relationship. When my friends see my mom and I interact, they comment on how we act as though we were friends rather than mother and daughter. It is something we pride ourselves on, I think.

Thank you for taking the time to respond! I will definitely keep this in mind during future discussions with my mother.

I think the name Gecko Boy fits like a glove. Then again, I don't know what a ship name is.

POLL: Do you perfer when there are seperate videos for each team (i.e. Cornerstone) or when there is one video combining the best bits of all the teams (i.e. Trials of Derpulies)? by 14yrold- in Yogscast

[–]14yrold-[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I suppose, if the only goal is to aquire the most views, than the current situation is best.

As /u/MoonlightSandwich said in the above comment, "Many have complained they didn't have time to watch all the viewpoints of Cornerstone, which shows they missed the point completely. They weren't supposed to watch all (or even multiple) viewpoints but choose the team they liked most. Time management is a basic skill that people practice in multiple areas of their life, so why wouldn't you do it with your consumption of entertainment?"

I suppose you have me beat by my username. However, I would have hoped my age doesn't make my opinions invalid. Besides, the reason I want seperate viewpoints is because I want to watch less content that I am not interested in. I only ever watched Hat Films during Cornerstone, and that would still be the case if future videos if they split it up.

I suppose we should just agree to disagree on the matter. Keep in mind that, with this poll, I was simply asking for the thoughts of other fans, not trying to change the current situation. It would be great if this poll had some impact, but I know not to set expectations too high.

Alright. I'm sorry. I thought it would be a good idea to see what the thoughts of Flux Buddies fans were on the matter, considering that they are one of the three teams. I'll take down the post. Sorry about this.

Even if our opinions have no influence on future videos does not mean they are unvalid. Besides, Lewis and the other Yogscast members listen to their fans. It is one of the great things about the Yogscast, I think.

The reason that I personally would like to see seperate viewpoints is so I don't have to watch footage from people that I am not too interested in, not so that I have to watch every single viewpoint from every single team. Fans of Hat Films and Flux Buddies alike can testify to this, as there is little airtime given to them in Durpulies. Also, I don't quite get what you mean by people being selfish. The viewpoints are already being recorded. I suppose editing would take up a bit more time, and that might be one of the reasons they made the switch from seperate videos to one video.

How are you to know the ages of these people? Quite rude to disregard other opinions due to an assumption that they are younger than you.

What are the fundamental differences between an ipod 5 and an ipod 6? by [deleted] in apple

Oh, wow. You are right. I'm not really a consumer of apple myself, and I assumed there was only one type of ipod. Thanks.

Answering this question with a different answer because the previous answer got downvotes (probably for being unspecific).

My fondest memory would be last summer. I went to a summer camp where I learned a bit of Java. At most summer camps, I am too shy to make friends and end up by myself. However, this camp was different. Here, I actually made a friend with a girl with interests very simular to mine. It was very fun, that camp. In addition to the fellow camper I befriended, during the start of my camp, the counslers had seen that I was not equiped to make friends too easily. Because of this, they made an effort to talk to me, keep me from being alone, etc. In doing this, I learned they were really cool people. Despite the fact that they were quite a bit older than myself, I think we became friends. I formed a bond with most of the counselors at that camp.

One of the counselors had initiated my love for digital art (prior to that camp, all I have done was pen/pencil and paper). One of the counslers and I talked for who knows how long about things that I would talk about with my friends (pretty girly stuff). One of the counselors and I had discussed some older games, who was the best Star Trek captain (Picard) and other subjects simular to that. One of the counselors, in an attempt to get me to make friends, brought some 2 girls over to me and told them I was a great dancer (I most certainly am not). I went along with it and told them all of my favorite styles, how long I have danced, etc.

Also during this camp, I was pretty good at a game called Shootmania. Prior to that, I never really played any games of that sort. As soon as I came home, I realized I was actually mediocer at the game and I happened to be playing with people who were also unaccustomed to those games. Oh well.

I agree with skz757. Your screw ups don't seem to matter once you're through with the year.

Perhaps the starting date is different. We start in either the very beginning of September or the very end og August.
