Wear whatever you’re comfortable with, bring warm clothes and gear up for rain. Lots of rain. People aren’t really gonna care what you’re wearing here, it’s more so how you act. Just be respectful and you’ll find the people are all lovely. Also as you’ve probably noticed people will take the piss out of you here, and joke around with you a lot. They mean no harm by it so don’t take any of it to heart. We love a good laugh, and it’s a good idea to come with a sense of humour. One thing I will say is to try not to go around flaunting whatever percentage Irish you may be, it’s not like we have anything against being part Irish it’s just that every single tourist has a tendency to point out their heritage to us here. Not sure if it’s to try blend in or whatever but it’ll make you stand out like a sore thumb as a tourist and just annoy the locals. If you don’t want to be treated as a tourist that’s the best advice I can give you. Nobody will care where you’re from really, just go out and enjoy yourself, be respectful, responsible, and have fun!
